Breaking news on Geo, a Helicopter belonging to Punjab Rangers has gone down near the Indus River. Reportedly DG Rangers was on board the flight.
Reports to follow.

Bad weather seems to be the cause of the crash, reportedly it fell into the river, rescue teams are already searching the area.

Surely hope those on board are fine.

Punjab Rangers have Bell 206L Long Ranger, it is same as Army is using Jet Ranger II and III. Long Ranger has more powerful engine and may take upto 5 passangers in addition to 2 pilots.

but the heli is reported to have crashed in sindh.....anyway.....lets hope for th best.

are u in your senses!!! what is nice abt a helo crash in which people may have been killed!!!

The Heli took off from DG Khan, the pilot reported due to severe weather, he was heading towards Multan before contact was lost.

Helicopter Crash in Pakistan


Pakistani local media channels are reporting that a helicopter has crashed near the Indus River. Helicopter was belonging to Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) has gone down near the Indus River.

It is reported that D.G. Rangers, Major General Muhammad Nawaz, two captains and one colonel were on board helicopter when it crashed.


Sources in Punjab Rangers say that rescue efforts are underway and a helicopter has been sent to the site of crash. Initial indications are that helicopter crashed due to bad weather.
