IP is a huge term starting from just logo to the software ... It can be sold ... For example Pakistan is selling super mushak which was designed by SA but sold its IP to Pakistan ...First of all, you don't sell IP. You sell IP only if and when your company was bought by someone and they get the IP or Patent you are holding, that is called transfer.
Second of all, your question is already answered in the second part of my answer to the other member.
Let me give you a hint. If you said is true and IP right can be circumvented by making under the table dealing and not using the "Trademark Logo" like you said, would ZTE shut down their business on May 9?
Each item that have IP in it would have some control over it, otherwise why claim IP if you have no control the sole right and everybody can make what you make just not using your logo? In this case, the control came from support from US firm that hold these IP.

Similar case is when US decided to cut off support and main parts supplies of all military hardware to Iran (you remember those, right?) how long does it take for Iranian to reverse engineer them even with the help of the Russian? And in ZTE case, it won't worth to re-engineer a whole different setup unless the whole Chinese Telco business is willing to go with ZTE.
As I stated; if yo uthink IP is just a logo on the product, that mean you don't know what IP mean.

I think you need to seek treatment on learning difficulty. Or may even be Multiple Personality Disorder, because you think you are Chinese, but you aren't.
IP is a product which is not tangible but registred as IP laws of that particilar country ... If not registered then its not IP ...
