NEW DELHI: Saudi Arabia has told the Indian authorities about the detention of Fasih Mohammed, a suspected terrorist apprehended by authorities there, who may be deported soon.

An engineer by profession, 28-year-old Fasih is alleged to have been involved in the Chinnaswamy Stadium blast in Bangalore and the shooting incident near Jama Masjid (Delhi) in 2010 and is wanted by both Delhi and Karnataka Police.

On the request of Karnataka and Delhi Police, CBI had asked the Interpol to issue a Red Corner Notice against Fasih after which Saudi Authorities have conveyed that he has been apprehended by them.

Indian authorities are interacting with Saudi authorities on the formalities to bring him back, they said.

Fasih had reportedly been missing and his wife Nikhat Parveen approached the Supreme Court claiming her husband was in the custody of central security agencies.

Parveen moved the Supreme Court alleging her husband was picked up by a joint team of Indian and Saudi officials on May 13 for his alleged terror links.

Considering the fact that he will most likely face death sentence , so he is likely to spend rest of his life in a high security prison , since Khangress is unlikely to hang him

Terrorists must be brought to justice .... even though the lives lost by their deeds can't be brought back, it certainly brings justice to the dear ones of the victims and will fill the fear of God on into those a$$holes who carry out such ghastly deeds.

It's very good that Saudi Arabia has decided to unambiguously decided to side with the forces of the good over evil ... against terrorism.

Now the terrorists know, they cannot think that Saudi Arabia is another safe-haven .... let them rot in Pakistan... and off course, gradually but surely the noose is tightening around ISI's neck.

Well, Pakistani members here assume that a armed attack is the only way USA can hurt Pakistan. But there is more than one way to skin a cat. Phase 1 has already been started and India is an incidental beneficiary.. Lets see how much of heat can Pakistan tolerate and how high can USA raise the temperature :)

Agree with you.. there is very likely US hand behind Saudi co-operation.

The bad part is .. USA is helping to teach Pakistan a lesson .. not doing the work, because it is good !!!!

Damn... are they waiting for another 9/11 to realize ... there need be no politics behind anti-terrorism efforts.

It is a non-negotiable.

Unfortunately, there is no right or wrong. All that matters are National Interests..
