Well thermal clothing works the same whether subzero at 12000ft or sea level, negative 20 is same at both sea level or 12000ft. It's not like there is a thermal clothing for altitude sickness. So telling us Chinese how harsh winter is like telling a camel how bad desert is. We are not frtom the tropics my dear friend, you might say we might suffer altitude sickness but never say we can't stand winters. Lol

Other than ethnic Tibetans in the Indian army, most other Indians will have to deal with altitude sickness as well as India is not a mountainous country. China is far more mountainous and at a higher altitude.

That's why it's laughable to think that Chinese troops are shocked by cold weather while Indians are hardened ice warriors. It's actually the opposite. Chinese people evolved in cold, snowy weather and only gradually moved towards warmer climates. While Indians are largely a tropical and sub-tropical nation dealing with monsoons and heat.

If you trace the Indian army's 2nd hand winter gear from the U.S. chances are they were originally ordered from Yiwu or Wenzhou. If the Chinese gear are low quality then Indian gear are second hand low quality.
