if your foriegn policy and action toward intruder is so like the present case
you will also become one like them with tiny small states divided
The intrusion happened in 1959 when PLA surreptitiously encroached upon Aksai chin (part of ladakh), when the border areas were unmanned.. using the Tibetan territory they annexed before further moving into Aksai chin.
If the encroachment were to weaken India's resolve or anything else, you would have seen those "tiny states" already.
Indian govt response to the latest incident is both measured and mature.
The basic thing is that the so-called "china's side" of the LAC is also Indian territory. The issue is already under negotiation.
It is also in china's interest to stick to negotiations. The latest incident doesn't change the basic issue at all - that Ladakh was never a part of Tibet, leave alone china.
By this weak act, china has literally confessed that it is quite a bit shaken by conventional parity along the undemarkated Indo-Tibet border. However, these fears are naive because India doesn't intend to settle the borders with a violent conflict.
It's in best interest of both countries to continue negotiations. The unwise step by some restless and worried junior level chinese commander was a mistake and should be reversed.
