Chinese tourists clash with Vietnam airport border officers in violent brawl

If you have no actual input for the discussion at hand, fcuk off!

This is far from the first time I have told you to get lost and I have had you kicked in the past.

For someone brandishing the acronym of 'SPQR' of the old republic, you are a mockery of your ancestors.

You should never use someones ancestors to insult someone amigo. thats bad taste.

very normal in Vietnam, bribe works everywhere in Vietnam, few cousins have factories in vietnam, they are telling us loads of funny and stupid stories about viet officials when they are back for holiday.

Yeah, I agree. Thanks for constructive comments.
Update, in the incident, all Chinese passengers come home safety. The officer who illegal hit the passenger was fired and pay penalty, he want to send his apology to the passenger.
As I comment at a post, I saw his act as unacceptable, while other security staffs act professionally to control the violent passenger.

Your comment is true. In another view, many investors want to have chance to buy "something that unallowed" by their bribery, and they found Vietnam is a location for them to do that.
Our people also hate that. We wish no investors give officers the money as they request.
The aftermath is unexpected, ruin the environment, cheating on tax amount paid ...

Chinese tourist clashes with Vietnamese border inspection staff at Nha Trang Airport.(Photo from Weibo)

On May 4, the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City made representation on the issue of Chinese tourists being asked to pay tips to border inspection agents at Nha Trang Airport. The consulate demanded that the results of the investigation into the incident be broadcast.

The Vietnamese representative said that local government has already asked the relevant departments for a detailed report on the event, and has strengthened supervision on border exit and entry procedures. The inappropriate behavior of border inspection staff has been rectified and the offending employees will be punished for their actions, the representative promised.

The Chinese consulate pushed the Vietnamese side to seriously investigate the incident, punish relevant personnel and guarantee the legal rights of Chinese tourists.

According to a local news report on May 5, several border inspection agents at Nha Trang Airport have now been suspended.

According to various media reports, a group of Chinese tourists were asked to pay "tips" to border inspection staff at Nha Trang Airport on May 2. Some employees even said in Chinese: "10 yuan, 10 yuan." An "uncooperative" tourist was pushed over and threatened with an electric shock device. Then the whole group was required to pay 30 yuan each as a penalty. At that time, about 800 to 1,000 passengers were in the vicinity, mostly Chinese tourists bound for Chengdu, Chongqing and Shanghai.

We never seen anything like that. It could be a makeup story.
The news in Vietnamese only tell us "a security check staff was punished because his elbow to the back of Chinese passenger"
What's a local news ? can provide a link ?

Electric shock device to control the violent crowd, it's not for threatening the passengers disagree to pay.

if those officers really asked for tip, that's the shameful act we must oppose.
Don't give money to officers.
Sorry for flight delaying, and the hit of the officer to that passenger's back, and also the impolite officer at passport check
It is the responsibility of your government to educate the custom officials on corruption. The only people who deserve tip are non-government workers working in the service sectors such as waitress, bartender, hotel valet. Like I said before, these tourists are doing the right things and are actually helping your country bringing more awareness to the corruption nature of Vietnamese custom officials.

But according to you in a previous post,
The officer who illegal hit the passenger was fired and pay penalty, he want to send his apology to the passenger.

So, at least one official has been punished.

I think most people who follow this news would know that there are several officials involved in the incident.

I also think that it would be better for Vietnam's image if the officials involved is punish since it is hard to justify their behaviors as officer.

Chinese tourists are also to blame for making the problem worse. They should have save face instead of yelling and fighting about it. Act in a civilized manner, talk to the supervisor of the airport or report it to government official.

yes, as reported there is only one officer was fired by overact to passenger ( hit passenger from behind ). Others acted professionally to control the passenger.
mentioned that the passenger was controlled because he both denied to open his luggage and shouted out in attempt attracting others to cause a chaos at security checkpoint. Not because the passenger denied to give any tip.
Did you see anyone giving tip at security screening?

According to Chinese media, many of the eye-witness interviewed mentioned the official asking for money.

Whether Vietnamese authority is going to take the eyewitness account into their investigation or not is up to the Vietnamese gov't.

I do not know if Vietnam local media report on the Chinese eyewitness's version of event, if the media did, then it is up to Vietnamese public to believe it or not.

Do you believe these Vietnamese will accept these, that's face problem.

They are professional to ask for bribe, hehe. What's the root cause that lead the clash? that's not important for them now, hehe.

Vietnam authorities collected Security cameras recordings for investigation. Passengers also feel free toprovide evidences.

In my experience, any trouble should be at the entry to a country when officers check and grant your immigration to the country, not at exit. Did the officers want to keep those passengers in Vietnam?

So I feel confused to hear anyone have to give money to exit.
why you not show the passport for stamping, put the luggage through screening and open them once requested. There would not any trouble if we follow that
