That was an utterly stupid decision to make. Foreign women should be in their craziest, mot daring and stupidest mind to decide to travel to India. Even traveling in groups is not safe, let alone traveling by oneself.

She is lucky that she is still alive. That's a relief.

Last time, my sister in law traveled to India with her mother in group after I told her about the rape issue in India. This was too bad she had no idea how India actually was beforehand.

Nothing happened since you will be safe as long as traveling with a group of people with a Chinese guide. My sister in law's brother once visited India alone and got robbed by a local. I think this is always much safer to travel in group since you know next to nothing in that area, and this is not even safe to travel alone in Europe in today situation.
