A Chinese nuclear submarine has been placed at Karachi since last year, NDTV reported on Friday. It later confirmed its presence by citing top sources in the Indian Navy who said the submarine belongs to the latest and most advanced class built by China. The news outlet said the ‘Type 093 Shang’ submarine may be closely observing and analysing movements of Indian warships as China competes with India to dominate the vast Indian ocean.

The nuclear power submarines do not require their reactors to be refilled and hence can be powered for longer duration, sometimes even making them difficult to track. They are also armed with torpedoes and cruise missiles.

As cited by NDTV, the image of the submarine was first found by a satellite imagery expert who goes by the Twitter handle @rajfortyseven. The image can also be accessed on Google Earth, available from the images in May 2016. He also tweeted about a possibility of a Navy coop. “#China #PLAN #Pakistan #Navy undersea coop 2016: Two subs visiting #Karachi on sat imagery #Type91SSN (5/20) & #Type39SSK (10/3) with tenders (sic),” he said.

.
We should give China whatever facilities they want to keep an eye on India. China should have a large military/naval base in Pakistan within the next 5-10 years. Together, Pakistan and China will defend Asia from American Imperialism. India is becoming Western lapdog.

so what? chinese submarine also docked at karachi in 2015 as well.what it has to do with indian national security?it didn't sink any indian warship.there is nothing to scare about.china and pakistan are good friends.chinese presence in indian ocean is to safeguard trade routes.intention is not india.intention is safety.

And long may it continue. We will assist our Chinese brothers and sisters in thwarting indian oppression, aggression and nefarious hegemonic intentions.

Making the mountain out of nothing but seems to be seeking attention. The irrelevant logic that too after almost 7 months of visit, has nothing to do with allegations as reported who, Taiwan-India........ Enough isn't it?

. .
why? please explain SSK with LACM is enough for Pakistan,
Rubbish.

When India started testing long range ballistic missiles - we didn't start testing cruise missiles and called it a day.
Strategically speaking cruise missiles and ballistic missiles have very different roles in delivery of nuclear weapons.
SSK with LACM is useless at this stage - India already has 1 active SSBN with 3 more under construction.
It clear that India armed with SSBN's with SLBM's are at a clear strategic advantage over Pakistan.

Plus none of the SSP's we have and will be getting will have VLS to launch a cruise missile.

, we have not any global ambitions
What do you mean?

don't repeat the history...

Chinese should not be allowed to have a military base.. equip PN she will do it.. Keep Chinese out of it.

Take help whatever is need from Chinese..
