Disturbing pictures have emerged of a classroom full of Chinese high school students hooked up to IV drips so they stay alert as they cram for the annual "gaokao" -- college entrance exam.
In fact, Chinese government has regulations that subsidize 10 yuan (US$1.57) for amino acid infusion per student who’s taking the entrance exam!!
So what is the Chinese government and teachers up to, encouraging students to indulge in such unethical practices? Making zombies out of students and the population of China at large? Today it is amino acids, tomorrow it could be drugs, which would be disastrous (If some are not doing it already, surreptitiously)!
Oh well, I guess the Chinese can go to any extremes to be one up. But in the process they could soon lose their humanity and turn into robots in the not too distant future.
