Chinese shipbuilding industry's dream of world domination crushed by Korean

Do you honestly believe Koreans( and Japanese) cannot build aircraft carriers? They chose to not build them because they didn't need carriers, not because they cannot build carriers better than what Chinese are building.

French carrier Mistral, built by STX(of Korea)

No, you can't.

To build a 100k tons Nimitz supercarrier requires much more than a 500k tons oil tanker.

Another former superpower AKA USSR, even they failed to build anything comparable to the Nimitz supercarrier.

Right, that also a reason why China only buy second hand AC [more likely scrap metal] renamed as Shilang.

First of all, this is our training carrier, our future own homemade one is going to be the nuclear supercarrier.

Secondly, it is not going to name after Shilang since Kanwa is full of sh!t as usual.

Don't argue with the Koreans and Indians.

Korea and India, united superpowers for a shining tomorrow!

I believe Japanese can build AC,but I don't think you Korean can, AC is totally different from commercial ship and more complicated. For example, you can see your rocket project, what a shame.

As for the shipbuilding industry, I have no doubt China will defeat Korea soon, cheer as long as you can until been left behind by China:coffee:
Buy an obsolete Russian AC and repair it and call it yours :coffee:

.
we are building indeginous ones, much bigger in tonnage and nuclear powered, what about your Indians?you build your own stuff?

China Overtakes US in Manufacturing

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

The shift in economic and political power eastward rolls on.

Ending a 110-year run for America as the world's dominant producer, China has overtaken the United States as the world's largest manufacturer. According to economics research firm IHS Global Insight, China manufactured 19.9% of the world's goods in 2010, while the U.S. accounted for 19.4%.

It's just a shame that being totally subservient to the United states means building only commercial vessels of non relevance, not being able to develop a self reliant indigenous defence industry is what sets apart NATO allies and Japan/Korea. Germans despite being "loyal" allies to the US still maintain a very strong domestic defence industry, where Korea has none. Similarly in Japan, the heavy American hand keeps them dependent to American weaponry, to the point where China will be able to eclipse military developments of most Asian countries in the coming decades. In many ways this wouldn't be possible without America, America by keeping down Japanese/Korean and their rivalry (no one comes close to korean nationalism against the japanese. The recent vietnamese and hindu nationalism toward china is tame by comparison), also gave China the freedom to build their own military industries.

I think he meant about the nominal GDP.

Our major shipyards have all been busy to build our coming warships, and it makes sense that the production of the civilian ships goes down for a while.

BTW, Korea/Japan cannot build their own warship without the help of USA, since Uncle Sam would never pass any crucial technology to them, nor it will allow them to develop their own.

at the pinnacle of technology, that is, in destroyers, whole aircraft, strategic missiles and supercomputers, Germany actually isn't that strong.

China has some truly insane and mindblowing research going on in areas like quantum computing, quantum telecom, hypersonics, laser weaponry and weather control. Don't underestimate us. Without ANY American involvement, Korea and Japan wouldn't have gotten back up so fast. In the first 15 years of Korean development, US aid made up 70% of all investment in Korea.

That's right, China has no shortage of human resources which can be used to develop almost everything.

I think most people simply ignores this regard most of time. :coffee:

No matter how the per capita is high among some small medium Euro nations, but it still doesn't have the human resources to develop the project that can carry on the entire humanity into the next level.

Now the US is facing the financial crisis, and China is the only nation that they feels truly threatened by it.
