Xi’s visit delayed due to conspiracy of two foreign spy agencies: minister
Senator Mushahidullah avoids mentioning names of foreign intelligence agencies
ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Mushahidullah Khan on Thursday said that under a well-thought conspiracy jointly hatched by two foreign spy agencies, the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan was delayed.
Talking to journalists outside the parliament, he said that the entire world and international observers – who monitored the 2013 general elections – had accepted the result, but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf decided to take a different course on this issue.
He said PTI should apologise to its voters for disappointing them by holding a useless sit-in last year. He said the government would satisfy those voters who had elected it into power to resolve their issues. He said that the government and opposition parties were making joint efforts to convince the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F for withdrawing their resolution regarding de-seating of PTI members from the National Assembly.
The minister also advised the PTI leadership to join hands with the ruling party to amicably resolve the de-seating issue. While criticising the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and its police, he said that at least 31 people lost their lives during the local government election in the province as a result of the provincial government’s incompetence.

Talking to media outside the parliament, State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Shaikh Aftab Ahmad said that de-seating of the PTI members from National Assembly would cost millions of rupees and wastage of precious time for holding by-election on vacant seats.
He said that government would support presence of PTI members in the Lower House of the parliament as their absence was against the national interest. Aftab said that Nawaz Sharif was not only the prime minister but also a statesman who always played a positive role for strengthening democracy and democratic institutions.
He said the government's performance had been appreciable in all sectors, including bringing peace and stability in port city of Karachi, FATA and Balochistan, besides improvement in the Pakistan International Airlines, Railways and energy sectors.
