Chinese President likely to be Chief Guest at Pakistan's Military Parade Next Month

Any guess where the fear factor has taken toll..... taking the salute on an open dais or not feeling safe even on your republic day thus seeking safety in a cage.

Don't know how to react but anyway looking forward to it.......

The decision came just days after India held its grand 66th Republic Day parade in which US President Barack Obama was the chief guest. Obama's visit had raised eyebrows in both Pakistan and China.

Do even have vision for your self ?

Anyway looking forward :)
The Jordanian King, Saudi King...and many other signatories have been to the Parade before. This is not something new.

. .
TBH is current environment prevailing over Pakistan, it shouldn't matter whether the guest is Chinese President or a 3rd grade diplomat of Somalia....just forget it. If Pak defense forces and agencies can pull off even 1/10 of what India showcases on 26th Jan every year then hats off to them and loads of respect for the same. Pakistan as a nation and its people desperately need some visual of such bravery (and yes its bravery to arrange such an event under such security situation where not just school but even AF & Naval bases come under attack very often.)

Have u read the article ?
Pakistan can decide to invite signatories to national events and we do not have to debate with Indians at all. This is not even a topic for discussion.

We welcome President Xi to Pakistan. A warm reception awaits him at the Constitution avenue.

Islamabad: After a gap of seven years, Pakistan will hold a joint military parade of its armed forces on its national day next month where Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely to be the chief guest.

The decision came just days after India held its grand 66th Republic Day parade in which US President Barack Obama was the chief guest. Obama's visit had raised eyebrows in both Pakistan and China.

The joint military parade of the three branches of armed forces had been the hallmark of the Pakistan Day festivities, which features display of military hardware and cultural activities.

"The decision has been made to hold a joint military services parade on March 23," a "top military source" was quoted as saying by the Dawn daily.

Quoting diplomatic sources, the daily said "(Xi) Jinping is expected to attend the Pakistan Day parade as chief guest".

The parade will be organised by joint staff headquarters in Rawalpindi, which oversees the entire Pakistani military.

The venue for the parade is yet to be finalised, with two vast compounds shortlisted as potential sites.

The last military parade took place on March 23, 2008 during the tenure of Gen Pervez Musharraf as president. The parade was not held since then due to security reasons

[QOUTE]="Irfan Baloch, post: 6733238, member: 15272"]hmm.. for sure maybe instead of just a cup of Tea Modi Ji made for Bapu Obama

Nawaz will cook Haleem for the Jingping and feed him with his own hands.[/QUOTE]

WHY? Why no 'Aam ki tokri' ???? Anyway on a side note, Modi got nuclear deal with a chain, hope you get something from haleem :D

Plenty of deals have already been signed. This is just symbolic and much needed.

I hope they hold a full military parade and not those tiny pathetic ones in a school playground or something. It needs to be grand.

:)
Cool

HAHA..This is a little, too on the nose...South Block and White House would be Rofl.

Just because Indians invited American president to their republic day..Pakistan too must invite someone of significance, to try to portray that Pakistan is no less than India.
