Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's Visit to India

The biggest challenge for India to meet its goal of increasing Mandarin speakers will be finding qualified teachers, according to Varaprasad Sekhar, associate professor in Chinese studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.

The biggest problem for people in India who want to learn Mandarin is that there are not many Chinese teachers who go to India.

Chinese people who emigrate usually want to go somewhere with a higher standard of living like Canada or Singapore. Or move to another Chinese city like Hong Kong, which has a similar standard of living to Singapore.

Its sad however..
What was sad bro?

That it would be more beneficial for India and China.. to form an economic bloc vis a vis the west..
Even with Japan in the American court..
It would be possible to manipulate world markets..and politics much more effectively if India and China got together.
Although it may be a good idea especially with the size of both the economies it could have enough clout over the western dominance over the global trade.... but from where I see India's outlook is more aligned with the western world... and until that changes or till India sees more advantages siding with China on the economic front, nothing much is going to change.

At the moment there is a pretty high trade imbalance and without China allowing Pharma, IT and agricultural imports where India leads in exports to other countries, it will be difficult to build on this cooperation and trust.

There are many people in India those know Mandarin but there are lack of teachers.

Tell this to the Chinese who are setting up business in India, why they just go to Canada and Singapore! I have seen thousands of Chinese in Kolkata why did they came here?

How much are u looking for??

Disband the Tibetan government in exile that has been hosted on Indian soil for over half a century. Give up your claims on Aksai Chin, and tell your Indian media to stop painting us as monsters.

Not a chance in hell, I know. :azn: No chance at all.
