Chinese police 'raid Tibetan monastery

Chinese police have raided a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in western China, killing two people, rights campaigners have said.

The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) says an elderly man and woman were killed trying to prevent police arresting monks at the Kirti monastery.

Tension has been high since a monk set himself on fire last month in an apparent anti-government protest.

Foreigners have been prevented from travelling to the region.

When there is unrest in China, the area is sealed off and none can know what has happened.

Foreigners are moved out and restrictions placed, if not sent out of Tibet/ area of unrest.

And yet a commonly cited statistic is China has 70,000 protests per year, but you also say the government doesn't allow protests!

Contradiction? No way! In the minds of racists blinded by hatred, China simultaneously has no protests and 70,000 protests! Black is white, white is black, freedom is slavery!
