Chinese plans in Seychelles revive Indian fears of encirclement

Indian Navy has surveillance planes based in Seychelles, we can keep an eye on them.

The article is fear mongering and not surprising the that the OP ao333 has posted this, for creating a trollwar between Indian and Chinese members.

In Seychelles not just China and India , but even the US is present there. The major player in the Indian Ocean is US with the Deigo Garcia base, will be long time before China will be capable power projection the Indian Ocean.

China plans in Seychelles are more to do with the anti-piracy efforts.

60's?
LCA design began in the 80s, and we did it with no prior experiance and little outside help

we have one carrier built in russia, and another one built in india SIMULTANEOUSLY.

scared yet :azn:
we are too scared of Indian efficiency and rantings``you are the No.1, no doubt about that

.
By that time all the Chinese cities and economic power houses must have been nuked and destroyed. You forgot that.

India has a no first use policy. through we threaten to use nukes just to end the conflict.

However PLA marching over New Delhi is an unlikely scenario.

.
China should have military bases in SL, BD and Myanmar. We need the chinese for our own interest and it will ensure the Balance of power in indian ocean and asia at large. I don't know about other BD members but I have no problem if china has a joint naval base with BD navy in the future.

You dont have the balls to do it so want chin to do it?? fap.. and then proud enuf to ask chin a to do it.. doule fap!! You even posted last night in this forum , " http://www.defence.pk/forums/indian-defence/167397-india-loser-says-sri-lankan-media.html" hence U guys want to help Sri Lanka by voting in favour of them... sri lanka and Bangladesh , hand in hand, TRIPLE FAP...L M F A O

yep, navy;s efficiency is pretty good.

If the indian navy had the PLAN's budget, we would have built a fleet that rivals US navy

Delhi?
Buddy, if pla manages to take 10sq miles of indian territory i would be damn impressed

India is a dominant force in Indian Ocean region. Except for US no other navy is as dominant as India is in Indian Ocean. Indian Ocean is India's backyard.

China doesn't have the economy or the capability to have a large presence in Indian Ocean

naive.

in a full out conflict, we will not fight on the india ocean, because new delhi is just 300km away from Chinese border, we can liberate it, free its people in days, just like what we did in 1962.

you can't just say "hey, let's have a fight on the indian ocean", that is not the way how it works.

Delhi?

already forgot 1962?

1986 for what? LCA and Arjun were started around that time.

what you really want to say?

what i wanted to say
was how the chinese were deterred from attacking india as its military had changed from a bumbling brigade armed with sticks and stones in the early 60's to a blitzkreig war machine since the 70s. this makes it almost impossible for the chinese to provoke a war against now as it would be easily repelled.

The london times compared the indian military of 1971 to the nazi war machine

A "blitzkrieg war machine"? Truly delusional. Maybe the common factor is an evil Nazi ideology, but definitely not military dominance.

China is building railways in PAK to move our heavy armor to Lahore by rail and roll over Punjab State, Hariyana and finally New Delhi. In the end, New Delhi will be a bombed out wasteland and China will hoist the 5 star red flag over the ruins of Red Fort.

It's like the most powerful country in sub-saharan Africa, dominating its neighbors, suddenly styling itself a global superpower.

i dont have the original article, but a book was written about it, you can buy for 8$

Suddenly, it seems to have pulled a rabbit out of the hat...., the Indian armed Forces executed, within the brief period of 12 days, the most decisive liberation campaign in military history-giving a nation of 75 million people its independence in one lightning strike. Operating in one of the most difficult terrains in the world-in which the few existing national highways and railway systems had been disrupted by their insurgent allies-Indian forces, moving with incredible swiftness, brought a formidable enemy to his knees and took 93,000 of them prisoner.

Foreign observers have compared this achievement of the Indian armed forces to the German Blitzkrieg of the Second World War. The Sunday Times of London, which had reporters on all the fronts, wrote on 12 December, "It took only 12 days for the Indian Army to smash its way to Dacca, an achievement reminiscent of the German Blitzkrieg across France in 1940. The strategy was the same: speed, ferocity and flexibility. The previously rated second-class military machine of a developing Country had planned, directed, managed and executed an operation of incredible complexity with consummate skill and sophistication.

besides, while you guys got cleaned up by the japanese, indian army fought and defeated Japs, Nazis and Italians SIMULTANEOUSLY

That great Indian Army (“British” being colloquial, not official) fought and defeated first-rate, first-world enemies: Germans in North Africa and Italy; the Imperial Japanese in southeast Asia. Stripped of Commonwealth camouflage, the Indian Army of 1945 was, in its own right, a veteran combat outfit with global experience.
