Chinese N-plants in Pakistan violates NGS rules: US

...... that this deal violated NSG rules..

US is just making required complaints while the net result will be zero. Pakistan needs these nuclear plants for electricity since we have deficit of 7,000MW today and another 10,000MW in next 15 years. The Hydro electricity cannot fill the gap neither the green energy.

.
The Americans signed a nuclear deal with India. They have no right to demand from others that they do not develop nukes. Also India was not sanctioned by US in 74, it was sanctioned for a short period after 98 tests while Pakistan was also sanctioned. The sanctions remained on Pakistan till US needed it in WOT.

We should be prepared for what will happen when the war on terror loses its significance. Pakistan cannot and must not remain alone on the world stage. We should build up our alliances and be ready for the betrayal that came when we were not needed after our role in limiting soviet influence in a war that was fought on US behest and was one of our greatest mistakes.

What a TT .

When we signed a nuke deal with US in 2008.It was an opening to international nuke relation after 34 years of closed door development in India due to sanction.

After 1998 they even tried to raise the bar.But was ineffective against us .So they withdrawn.

.
Dont spread wrong Info. After 1974 we were under the severe sanction of West .Only Russia helped us that is even after 2000.
We were always alone.
oh, so how did you got the mig29, all russians weapons and even western weapons like mirage 2000o_O

India-Pakistan Sanctions Legislation Fact Sheet | Center for Arms Control & Non-Proliferation

read it yourself..

about blue part, they needed NSG waivers to implement it..did China get any??

We should be prepared for what will happen when the war on terror loses its significance. Pakistan cannot and must not remain alone on the world stage. We should build up our alliances and be ready for the betrayal that came when we were not needed after our role in limiting soviet influence in a war that was fought on US behest and was one of our greatest mistakes.

yet,Pakistan is continuing its mistakes..They're abandoning a ally(or may I say a Superior) for another which is far worse. You guys fought 2 wars for USA and prolonged remain in their blocks and such..You guys enjoyed superior arms and aids, but lost your honor.they used you guys and threw away in the lap of China, which is even worse. You guys are cheering for it now,and you're going to lament about it 2 decades later.

just words doesn't make you strong, its economy, relationship and leverage which makes you strong.India didn't fight any war for USA,never even properly based their Armed Force in India, hell,we're not even belongs to their blocks. But they made this deal for us,because,India is an "Important Country for USA,though not Ally"..you play your games properly, you're going to earn a lot.

well,I know that Pakistan needs a lot of energy.and sadly,Energy is a sector which often gets used to make a state to abide certain rules and demands.see,India had to gave up more than half of reactors under NSG's supervision and we can't make nuclear weapons from them,If Pakistan was ready to get a waiver, they could get it using China, like USA did for India. But I doubt NSG is going to give it,as even Pakistan knows NSG didn't forget about Nuclear Proliferation of Libya,North Korea and Iran..As we say,Karma is a B!tch..

. . . .
Well first of all, it is China who is a signatory to NSG and it China which is violating its rules. Hence these question are being posed at China.

If China are so desperate to sell nuclear reactors to a non NPT nation, then they can very well get an exemption for Pakistan, as American did for India and do the process legally. If not, 43 member nuclear suppliers group might just kick them out of the group.

China is not an irrelevant country like India. No one is gonna kick China out of anything lol

.
The agreement for nuclear plants was done before NSG so it's not applicable.

.
So they can do their transfer of technology to India but China can't even build plants in Pakistan?

Americ*nts are unbelievable.

.
Nice IQ.

Topic is about Nuclear Cooperatiin.I was talking about nuke deals.
and i as talking about nuclear reactors :D. i have heard for the first time that someone can calculate an IQ by looking at one statement. kindly the share the method with world, it will be great advancement in medical sciences

Chinese N-plants in Pak violates NGS rules: US
Washington, May 13, 2015 (PTI):

China's move to build nuclear power plants in Pakistan is not consistent with the rules of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) and the United States has raised this issue in its bilateral meetings with the communist nation, a top Obama Administration official has said.

"When China became a member of the NSG, there was a consensus from other members to grandfather construction of plants in Pakistan which China had initiated. However, there was not agreement that that was an open-ended clause," Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Non-Proliferation Thomas Countryman said.

"The problem is that China has since announced other power plants that it intends to build in Pakistan, and this is not consistent with the rules of the Nuclear Suppliers Group, which it joined. We raised this issue both as a bilateral issue and within the context of the Nuclear Suppliers Group," he said in response to a question from Senator Bob Corker who noted that they (China) are not honoring the NSG guidelines.

"What measures have been built into the agreement to prevent China from exploiting nuclear technology to countries that are proliferation rich? Because China says it will abide by the nuclear suppliers group's rules for exports but it's already violating these rules through its continuing work on Pakistani reactors," Senator Robert Menendez asked.

"The agreement prohibits the transfer of any US-provided technology to another country without US consent," Countryman answered.

"But it is already violating these rules through its continuing work on Pakistani reactors," the Senator asked.

"There's I think a difference between violating NSG rules and, of course, the Chinese would say their action is a matter of interpretation rather than violation.

"There's a difference between that and violating a 123 agreement, particularly when this agreement, unlike the agreement it replaces, has a specific clause that calls for temporary suspension or permanent suspension in case of violation," Countryman said during the Congressional hearing on civil nuclear agreement with China.

The agreement, he argued, will have benefits for the US- China bilateral relationship, for nuclear safety in the US and worldwide, for our economy, and for the climate.

In his testimony, Countryman said the US relationship with China is one of the most important and complex relationships it has in the world.

"Over the last six years, the Obama Administration has established a 'new normal' of US engagement with the Asia-Pacific that includes relations with China defined by building high quality cooperation on a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues while constructively managing our differences and areas of competition," he said.

Really ?

And US move to build nuclear power plants in India is consistent with the rules of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) ?

Speak of Hypocrisy and Double Standards, LOL..... :D

Again read your own post what a Gem.
India has benn designing and Constructing our own nuke reactors for decades indigenously due to sanctions.

Kicking China out of the NSG grants them the pretext to go about their nuclear exports without any restrictions and serves to undermine the very reason such a group exists in the first place.

Says the same country which violated NSG by giving India an illegal waiver. Yea right!

The waiver extended to India was supported by the other parties within the NSG.

So the American lead gang has the right to bend the rules to add new gang members but others don't?
