Chinese Marine Corp changes? And more

According to Janes Weekly, China is sending over 3000 marines to inner mongolia for exercises. Now why is this significant?

Chinese marines usually train in the hot South as an island taking force, but this change in direction, could signal a change to the US model, where the marines are an all terrain fighting force, and could also signal the increasing of marines role in Chinese military and the decrease of the Chinese infantry.

As a side note, inner mongolia means some "ghost cities," Maybe we can turn these into the perfect urban warfare exercises zones and invite other military to partake either as friendship or for a price.



In other news about 38 billion US will be used this year on new acquisition of equipments. Mostly if not all from domestic sources.

you know I hear some have said a few generals intentionally kept the unique marines uniform, to eventually break the marines off into its own command.
