Beijing | Top officials of the Chinese Space Program have come out this morning and expressed their feelings that the American moon landings “were a complete hoax” reports the Beijing Daily Express.
200 high-ranking officials from the Chinese Space Program have signed a petition asking explanations from the American government and the release of classified NASA information concerning the American moon landings that would prove to the World that the moon landings were not an elaborately orchestrated hoax to fool the World about America’s space program capabilities.

These allegations have come up through recent analysis of pictures taken from the Chinese moon rover that allegedly found no traces of the American moon landings existing on the moon.

World renowned Russian nuclear engineer Yury Ignatyevich Mukhin has also signed the petition as well as a dozen other top Russian engineers and ex-KGB agents claiming the Russian Government “had always been aware of the situation since the early 1970’s”

These recent discoveries could strangely give credence to conspiracy theorists whom have claimed for decades that America had never gone to the moon but that the American moon landings were but an elaborate hoax to foul Russia into the space race and eventually, the nuclear arms race, with the purpose of ruining Russia, much like the financing of the Mujahideen forces during the soviet Afghanistan war successfully achieved.

New documents scheduled to be released this week by Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, could reveal damaging information about NASA’s Apollo program, believe experts.
Julian Assange, who has lived at Ecuador’s London embassy since June 2012 in fear of being extradited to the United States to face espionage and conspiracy charges arising from the leaking of thousands of secret diplomatic and military documents by US Army private Chelsea Manning, has announced that he will release incriminating evidence that the government of the Unites States of America and NASA have hidden the truth about the Apollo program and the lunar landings for more than 40 years.

Top officials of the Chinese space program last year accused the government of the United States of “faking” the moon landings after the Chinese lunar rover found no evidence of the Apollo program moon landings after investigating the same area where the Apollo 11 mission allegedly landed on 20 July 1969.

Early this week it was reported that the Chinese lunar rover found no evidence of the American moon landing. This is not true and is a fake news story.

Not True

The false claim was introduced by a satirical news site called World News Daily Report. In the article, it is stated that the Chinese lunar rover had found no evidence that America had landed on the moon in 1969, and that administrators of the Chinese Space Program had created a petition in an attempt to get information from NASA and the United States government on the subject. According to the false story, the United States had faked the moon landing in an effort to gain the edge in the space race with the Soviet Union.

Yutu, the Chinese Rover, and a Mislabeled Picture

This World News Daily Report article follows a viral story earlier in the week that claimed Yutu had proven that the moon landings were real and not hoaxed through the development of a new complex graphics software which examined the lighting of the original moon landing films.

It is true that the Chinese Space Program launched a lunar rover which landed on the moon in December of 2013. However, it is untrue that the Chinese rover has found no evidence of an American moon landing. The picture included with the World News Daily Report is of the Chinese lunar rover, but the photograph was taken from a website called Parabolic Arc. According to Parabolic Arc, the Chinese lunar rover landed on a part of the moon called Sinus Iridum.

Apparently, World News Daily Report is not the first fictional satire website to claim that the Chinese lunar rover had discovered no evidence of Americans landing on the moon. In December of 2013, similar stories were released by satirical websites Rock City Times and News Biscuit.

At the top of each page of the World News Daily Report website, there is a disclaimer link that lets readers know the nature of the site’s publications. Here is a quoted sentence from that disclaimer, “All news articles contained within worldnewsdailyreport.com are fiction, and presumably fake news”. Somehow many readers miss this as a viral sharing spread makes its way through social media.

Bottom Line

The Chinese lunar rover did not find evidence that debunks the American moon landings. The article which makes this claim comes from a fictional news site called World News Daily Report, and follows a viral story about Yutu proving the moon landings were not hoaxed. Similar articles appeared on other satirical sites in December of 2013 after the Chinese lunar rover landed on the moon.
