You know, from a military point of view, we should thank to old Jiang a lot.

He is the one who saved our entire military industry which got nearly disbanded by Deng and Zhao.

A relatively corrupt leader like him has indeed low popularity among the normal citizen.

However, he got very high rank from our military insiders, only second to Chairman Mao.

His contribution to our military industry is indeed much greater than Deng.

Before we were thinking peacefully, and we want to live peacefully, but the West will never allow us to live peacefully.

This aggression from the US and the West has forced us to become stronger and we have to surpass US in every single possible way.

India, on the other hand, is still living in a dream and they believe that the West would share this World with them.

No incentiveness and no motivation would never create a strong determination like the present China having in its mind.

India has no true motivation that to create the strong determination, and that's why you can see the gap is getting wider and wider between China and India.

I am a pragmatic central leftist and i do support the idea of socialism as well.

But sometimes the stupidity of those far leftists also did annoy me.

They have a 2D brain which doesn't know how to become more flexible.

Sure,the cultural revolution was considered as a disaster by many elite people but it had no meaning to ordinary people.So no worry about it should be there.

He was a diputable figure in Chinese history,but let's give him the credit of China's early open up and reform,he was the key figure implementing a policy and system that had never been tried or even heared of before him.he also did a lot of backbreaking job for the revival of Chinese nation.he was at least a unselfish person with common sympathy sense as a human,wether he was on the wrong side or not,the fact is if he joined old generation he could've successfully secure his top post ,he was already the president,general sectary of CCP.as long as he did nothing provoctive,he was the undisputble of the next generation core leader,there wouldnt've been Jiangzeming in the history,he was just a mayor by then.

so at least Zhao did something for the purpose of the people(at least in his mind).not out of self protection and selfishness,he did have the faith,something that a lot of current leaders long lost.
