Chinese junk? Latest fighter plane from People's Army ticketed for exp

Never heard of the Raptor Cough ? The F-22 is making America's best pilot sick and even a handful have died just flying that plane. And what about the fact that the plane needs 24 to 30 hours maintenance for every one flying hour ? How are you going to go to war with a plane like that ?
Please...Spare us all...Show us how the problem is unsolvable. Am willing to bet you do not even research the problem in the first place. People like you prefers things present to them as simple as possible and are happy with that simplicity.

And you didn't anwser my question about your military carreer in a previous post. What did you do in the military ? What rank did you held ? How long have you been in the military ? And how long was that ago ? Considering your constant harping on and on about the fact that you were in the military it would be interesting for everyone here to know a bit more about your carreer in the military.
Easy...

I was on the F-111 and the F-16 and I had flight cockpit time on both aircrafts. Rank: Staff Sergeant. Time in service: 10yrs. Trained ROK Marines in SIGINT in Osan and Kunsan. Temporarily attached to the 1st USAF Special Operations Wing for Desert Storm in association with the now inactive USAF Systems Command as a 'foreign technology exploitation' specialist, in other words, I hunted Soviet/Chinese aviation hardware in Iraq and Kuwait.

The Air Force Systems Command's Foreign Technology Division was the organizational beginning of today's National Air Intelligence Center.
Honorably discharged in 1992.

I don't believe the army official explanation of the fail-success of F-117.

Do you?
No one can force you to believe anything. But whatever you say about the F-117 over Yugoslavia, you have to explain why is it that over 800 sorties, only one F-117 was lost.

.
At least I never did a personal attack.

You made F-22 for fight. F-22 are born to kill, not for show.

However you followed the official explanation, it's excuse only.

6 points remained.
Then the PLAAF must be for show.

Well, since the air force is telling its pilots that they can't do anything about there coughing flying the F-22 i can presume that any solution if there is even one will be a long way off. I think they have improved the maintenance time somewhat but it still takes many hours of maintenance (10,5 hours in 2009) for every 1 flying hour.

Thanks for the info. That would also explain your obsession with Desert Storm.

So you believe the USAF left the issue alone?

That statistics have been debunked by me many times already.

You call it 'obsession', those who know better call it insight.

Not surprised. It is very much in line with the Chinese product. By simply copying some stuff. you can make the the things appear same but not build the quality in it.

I wonder how many political science majors are working for Lockheed Martin is that why they cant solved F35 problems :omghaha::ashamed:

For the reason of your national pride and security, your army officer put one 0 after 80, who knows?
Detail of Black bird was classified, mission was classified, how did you be sure the number was not watered?

A very simple logic applied here: How can be the coating maintenance hours applied on F-22 is longer than F-117, its precessor?

Thats add F-117 to the liar list.

It resulted China No.2 from nothing 30 years ago.

It works!

 this coming from NATO (No Action, Talk Only) dirty Indians.

As Rachel Maddow exposed the major flaws in the F-22, they switched to the F-35. But now the F-35 is a bigger disaster than the failed F-22.

The US decline is there for everyone to see.

That is just pathetic. A total of 24 F-117 deployed to Aviano in support of the air campaign in Yugoslavia. Aviano is NOT an American base. It is Italian. It is well known that during the air operations, there were people lined up along the base's fences with binocs and recording aircraft take offs, duration, and returns. If there were more than one F-117 lost, the world would know about it.

The F-22 uses absorber mainly on leading edges.

Face it, kid. Just like the rest of the Chinese here, you do not know what you are talking about.

Kidding me, gambit.

Don't tell us you heard your figure from Italian fun boys. Its war not a picnic outside airbase with girls.
Your favorite friends can make a 24/7 midnight watch up, your enemy can do it better.

And most of all, who told them (or you) a missioned F-117 would return back to its departured base?
F-117's service time would be longer than F-22 since it's 1st gen stealth fighter-- that make me think its hours performed in the war is artificial.

its you who cannot face up the reality -- my 6 points on page 3 -- F-22 is a superier flying object without proof except killed 6 top pilots.

And who cared what's the mat'l it used if it is useless.

.
Yes...I would.

The SE is indeed a variant, but STRUCTURALLY speaking, the only difference between the SE and its predecessors are the canted twin vertical stabs. Conformal store containers are not part of the original design and can be removed without adversely affecting its original flight dynamics. That fact is obvious enough with the original conformal fuel tanks configuration and those conformal containers were indeed removable. All Boeing did were external modifications, not design improvements.

Putting a different cockpit layout does not make the J-15 a different beast. Even if you go as far as installing a different engine in it, that still would not be enough. You want to see a genuine difference despite visual similarities? Try the A-5, MIG-25, and F-15.

By this definition, then copying is OK/fine.

China has demonstrated good performance in improving flanker technology.

.
The problem was that 1 F-117 was shot down by crappy obsolete Yugoslav air defense. Imagine how many would be shot down if F-117 flies over China? More like 2,000. :yay:
You are correct. Imagination is what it will take for the PLA to defeat the F-22. I see plenty of imagination here already. And as usual with fantasies, most of the time they defy the laws of physics and common sense.

We should be clear here. You guys are not interested in having a reasonably restrained technical debate on this subject, let alone of the F-22 or the J-20 or the J-31. You are more interested in making yourselves feel good.

@gambit

On the topic, regardless of the current state of Chinese RCS measures(of which we have no definite quantitative or qualitative data to base any conclusions of, and the approach of pseudo analysts like Kopp dont count.) Does there seem to be a definite reason as to why the planform for the J-31 or the J-20(which I disagree on being based solely on the 1.44 as it has more in common in looks and design with the JAST concept, but it could be inspired/adapted from both) dont seem as stealthy to you as a 117 strictly from a shaping point of view.
