India China Trade in Yr 2008-2009 = $40 Billion

Pakistan China Trade in 2008-2009 = $7 Billion


Trade numbers show the relationship......

Going by your logic, an ongoing tussle with its neighboring countries is not economically beneficial for India, still it never misses any chance to intervene and cause detriment to Bangladesh, Srilanka, and of course, Pakistan. America doesn’t need to rely on Israel for its existence and economic well being still it goes around safeguarding their interests in every possible way. Saudi Arabia ruling class has close political and business ties with US still they do not forbid their clerics from spreading hatred against US in the Muslim world …Most people tend to see trade as a barometer of strategic alliances. Well the US, EU and Japan are China's 3 largest trading partners, that doesnt make them allies. Israel is not among US major trading partners, yet there are not many countries for whom the US would do what it does for Israel. Among other major investors in China, you find Taiwan, which has invested over $150 Billion in China. That hasnt made them strategic allies yet.

Countries only seek better trade ties with the countries that have similar or complimenting attributes. In terms of culture, economy or may be viability of a long term relationship. India does not share sour relationships with any country apart from Pakistan, and that too is politically motivated. politicians from both countries need a common enemy to make sure the community stays together....remember neocon theory....you need a common enemy to bind the society...thats the role India and Pakistan play for each other. Indians forget everything else when its compared with Pakistan and Pakistanis forget everything else whern compared to India.

Think what would be in Pakistan's best interst. To have India as a regional power or China?

There's no country in the world that has helped Pakistan with its infrastructure as China has. All the construction going on in Gwadar is thanks to China. They help us build ports, to dams, to roads, and railways. What has India done for us?

Of course Pakistan is going to show gratitude to China.

China knows how to win the hearts of us smaller Asian countries, the same can't be said about India.

All that India is working on is Afghanistan without realizing that most of Afghanistan is still under Taliban control.

Ok, I will give you a scenario......India starts building a Logistic facility for the army under the disguise of a railway station near Pakistan border.....will you and your government feel comfortable about that.....

India received the AWACS and your Ministers went ahead ranting this will start a weapons race in the subcontinent....

India has done a lot for its neighbours which u people overlook suprisingly well. for eg, 1,200 indians from IPKF died fighting the LTTE in sri-lanka. If u think that india has not done any good, read this properly

China is making Strategic investment in select Pakistan infrastructure. Its not for their love for Pakistan, they are looking at these investment from a long term prospective...The Gwadar port (Much hyped)...is one such Strategic investment ....when Pakistan China road link Opens ...This will be used a s a logistical point to mainland china that is landlocked....plus China wants to reduce US dominance in region and would obviously like to station some Navalships at the Gwarar port....and Building the railway station for Pakistan is just a token gesture....
