Chinese firm announces plans for $150m gated community in Pakistan’s Gwadar port city

I want no gated communities in Pakistan honestly.

No one should feel privileged like that. This can quickly catch on as some trend.

500000 Chinese in a barren desert? They must have pissed like the whole bunch of people in China.

Who publishes stuff like this

May catch trend? Gated communities are norm in Pakistan. But this news is exaggerated, maybe they meant overall population of Gwadar will 500k by 2022 in best case scenario if its developed.

China Pak Investments Acquires Project in Gwadar, Pakistan

Leading private investment house China Pak Investment Corporation on 29 September announced its acquisition of the 3.6 million square foot International Port City project in the city of Gwadar. The investment company is currently revising the scheme's plans in line with international developments standards and will be developing the first of its kind $150 million gated master community tailor-made for the expected 500,000 incoming Chinese professionals expected in Gwadar by 2022.

The project which is expected to be renamed China Pak Hills hails an exciting new phase in the development of the port of Gwadar, the 'Gateway City' to the $62 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the largest unilateral foreign direct investment from one nation into another. The CPEC is set to catapult Pakistan's stature as a key global trade and economic hub and includes a bouquet of projects currently under construction that will not only improve Pakistan's infrastructure but will deepen the economic and political ties between China and Pakistan.

Hao-Yeh Chang, Corporate Communications Director for China Pak Investments Corporation commented, "We believe Gwadar is following in the footsteps of Shenzen which represented a historic population rise, from a population of 30,000 in 1980 to 11 million people in 2017. Gwadar is poised to see massive population growth due to incoming industries, and we expect this to be one of the most strategic cities in South Asia."

The final master plan for China Pak Hills is currently being refined in Hong Kong, and will feature a range of state-of-the-art amenities including an open-air shopping boulevard; indoor shopping mall; restaurants and eateries; an international school & nursery; six community parks; indoor and outdoor sports facilities including tennis courts and a resident's gymnasium; a water desalination plant and recycling centre. China Pak Hills will also be home to the Gwadar Financial District, catering to the growing financial sector and adding much needed A Grade office space to Gwadar's growing market.

One Investments Ltd, a UK-based property investment company, headed by Zeeshan Shah, have been appointed as Global Master - Agent for the Development. "China Pak Hills is a unique and exciting opportunity. The level of investment and commitment made by the Chinese government in the CPEC guarantees that Gwadar is going to be one of the most important trading and access points in the World. Its geographic position, combined with the infrastructure being created through the CPEC means that it can only grow exponentially."

The China Pak Hills master-community is being developed by China Pak Investments and is soon expected to announce options for the private sale of limited plots to end purchasers.

if its overall 500K in Gwadar still its big news as current population of Gwadar is around 70K . So this will have huge impact

So a member of the race and nation who wants to wipe out the Pakistani race and nation is now all of a sudden concerned about Pakistan becoming a Chinese colony???????...................:lol::lol::lol::lol:
We don't hate you or want to wipe you out. On the contrary, we love you. That's why we come to your forums.

. . . . .
Chinese colony in Pakistan with Chinese defence troops protecting it with port...good for Pakistan future...

I'm also hoping for permanent Chinese Air and Naval bases in Pakistan.

Hopefully, at least one Chinese Aircraft Carrier, some warships and submarines as well as a few squadrons of J-20s, AWACS, Air Defence Systems and other high-tech Chinese assets will be deployed in Southern and Western Pakistan.

Security had been a privilege for the rich for quite some time.

But that's not the case now.

These out of city towns are largely used for investments rather than relocation

are they gonna open a free city too where alcohol and bars will be opened or nothing for us poor sharabi community in CPEC ?:frown:
you should learn how to play hide and seek with the thullas:p:

Good, we need more diversity. Maybe having half a million Atheists amongst us will open up the minds of some of our religious whackos.

Step-father? Nein, I am an Awan! I pride in meticulously recording my familial history. But why are you so concerned? A religiously diverse Pakistan is a good thing, don't you think?

stop projecting urself to be an awan, iam a pure one and hence i know no awan would say what u said....i am a believer of the rights given to minorities by Islam but that does not mean that being a non muslim is something to condone or appreciate, in the end all that will matter is who believed in the one true Allah nothing else so it would do u good to stop wandering confused in two alleys and choose one path, either become an atheist or stop condoning it, i gauged ur hypocrissy from ur awan comment as the history of awans and the respect we command is attributed to religion and our hard stands for it and our link to hazrat ali(ra), so stop taking pride in something u obviously are not anymore given that u are an awan which i highly doubt...
