To put things into proper context,the chinese statement isn't a scrap thrown to us neither are we Indians,at least the sane ones,are licking up to the chinese or dreaming of an alliance with them against pakistan or anyone else.
We are excited about it simply for one fact,that we can count on the chinese supporting us in specific cases in afghanistan as long as they benefit from it as well.The fact that chinese will work with us and not categorically oppose us in Afghanistan is a significant event for our interests in Afghanistan and central asia,especially when we see that that PRC has quite the pull on pakistan and that will make the pakistanis think about the chinese factor about taking any steps in Afghanistan.

China should have understood the sensitivity of the issue. Obviously it wont go down well in Pakistan.

China is well aware that Pakistan does not like India's involvement in Afghanistan. India has been sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan through its RAW agents stationed in her embassy there. Everybody knows that.

China should have taken steps to kick India out of Afghanistan instead. China failed to understand the geopolitical issues here. Its clearly a bakstabbing.
