Chinese - enters China Space Station (3:00pm ) ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

They are doing a lot of experiments. One of which is purifying / recycling of their own urine to water. That has been done in ISS. But it's the first in Tiangong 1. The water will be used for cleaning purposes.

The rendezvous and docking of the 2 spacecraft was done in broad daylight. The purpose is to test if the accuracy and functioning all the radar and sensors will be affected by the bright sunlight in space. Moreover, the Tiangong 1 module has been orbiting in space since last September.

The 2 modules will be separated temporarily for a few hours on 24th to prepare for a manually controlled rendezvous and docking exercise.

Its a common practice in space.
They must be carrying water reserves with them just in case the experiments go wrong.
