I dont think a indian has right to talk about other country's poverty.
Look at your country, you poverty rate is 38% and china is 8%.
by the way, Even US a superpower now has poverty.
Anyway, stop tolling.

In the 80's japan was looking unstoppable and was projected to out grow US but the 90's showed the reality. China too has started to suffer from an overheat economy. Don't go for numbers but the employment situation. The wages are increasing at a brisk pace and within next 5 years chinese exports will be costly as compared to veitnam, India. The 123 trillion story is impossible, calculate yourself.

I dont know if china will be a superpower in 2040, the future can never be estimated.But you just acted you can estimate future better than a Nobel laureate in economics that let me feel sick.

Yes, we chinese do face reality, the reality is china do have poor pepole which is 8% of the whole population about 90million people.
I fell sorry to them, and i aslo shame on my self. So, how about india's 38% poverty 400million people? What r you felling? if i was an india or indan politician, i would never talk about be a superpower in 2030 bla bla bla, because i just feel so shamed to talk about it.

Aslo, I dont think china will achieve this figure before 2100, bcoz this nobel laureate old man talk these figure about china on paper. No one can estimate future. But the fact is now the whole world say china will become a superpower in 2040 which even we chinese dont think so. and the whole india say they will be a superpower in 2030 which the the other countries dont even think so.........

In 2008,the GDP of China is 31.5 trillion(RMB)=4.63trillion($)
if it increase 10%/year,then when 2040,it will be:
31.5*1.1^32=31.5*21.14=665.1trillion(RMB)=97.8trillion($)(exchange rate is 6.8:1now)=123trillion($)(if exchange rise to 5.4:1)
Consider the exchange rate will rise(ten years ago the rate is 8.2:1)
but no one knows what will happened in 30years late,all the forecast only depend on "if" by a people of west country
