I don't see this as a threat to India. To understand this we will have to go in past. When Sri Lanka was desperately looking for some foreign investment, they had offered it to us. However, our economy was not in a position to support it, that's the reason Chinese jumped on it. We are in the same situation(economy wise) which chinese were in 1990-1995. They had money and they knew that India will be a threat in future so they build up a good relationship with our neighboring country.
This is exactly what we are doing with LOOK EAST Policy. Now we have a economy which can support us and our neighboring country. Now, we have very good relationship with many country circling china. So, what china has done in and around 2000, we are doing it now.
Every country has its right to safeguard its interest. If china think that India can be a threat in future, It has all the rights to save itself. It applies to us as well. I would not mind this kind of relationship, as this is not used for military purpose which chinese can use in future.
I do not support our PM MMS, however I love his LOOK EAST Policy. Through this we are giving back what we got from china.
MMS got his plan from consultations with shiv menon which was brought to his attention back in 1998. It was hard for him to digest being a sinophile..... but the threat was the same regardless and SHiv's love for Kerala prevailed. We are not merely playing tit for tat...China has aggressively courted for spheres of influence where we normally held sway.....if a nation changses it allaiances someone has wornged the other or another party is anatagonizing for change in their benefit or favor..Naturally as nations look to the future to their place in the word....CHina and her ppl want to be No. 1 and for that reason and that reason alone they work to make it No. ONE....India is too corrupt to even see it back not MMS but others in the entire system .....Acting individually or together but the net effect is the same on India....it slows her down and destroys Bharat caoapblity. ....Certain Kindgoms flourished for a long long time in India.....we must really self analyze the truths.....we learn day by day our ancestors who lived back then in the rural areas knew much more than Modern Urban individauls in regards to mother nature....we have tuned that completely.......COrruption of the bureacracy is not the only issue......but lack of visionaries who can implement their change at a ground pacing speed which China can achieve.....(they took the art of bureacracy and micro managed it to make it highly efficient on a large scale) .....Many if not all of China's borders are favorable and secure for the CHinese except Bhutan unlike Indiawhich has yet to establish a secure border ....it can be done....but the penalty should be death....it will "reduce" the problem
that since independence......WTF....India time to make your boundaries clear but you cannot coz there is fear of CHina flexing.....time to wake up and attack
