As everybody knows, hardcore Neo Cons:

a) believe that Israel can do no wrong (as a matter of fact Neo Cons have always defended Israel whenever it was alleged that they spied on the USA, shared technology with China etc)
b) hate China

They immediately went home and began to develop the Lavi with US money and with their new knowledge. The program was later cancelled under US pressure, but the technology and engineering assistance were later sold to China.
