Chinese Buddhists paint Modi and Xi together, depict Sino-India cultural ties

Such an irony since neither country believes in Buddhism today, might as well paint Jesus and Allah in the middle holding hands

I'm not sure Xi like it or not.
You won't be sure either. Chinese don't have access to their rulers to know their feelings. But its OK.

Where did Jesus Allah come from? Here we are talking bout civilization and you talking ideology? Being on PDF doesn't mean you bring religion and ideology everywhere.

Buddhism is the greatest and must positive link between India and China. It was Buddhism which made so many Chinese travellers come to India to be in awe which is very much clear in their writings bout India.

What is the difference and similarity between Buddhism and Hindu? Can a special Indian friend explain please?

I'm not an expert, nor the Indian you requested, but Buddhism is basically Hinduism without the caste system and without the polytheism. Buddhists don't worship Ganesh or Kali, and Buddhism in general has a less supernatural feeling. But otherwise, they can trace a common origin and are founded on "dharmic" principles and doctrines.

Whatever, buddish which I know nothing about is alien a thing from an alien nation.

I just always feel uncomfortable when I walked into a Buddish temple-eveything with alien looking.

No difference . I have studied both. Both believes in rebirth, meditation and Moksha. Both are the way of life , not religion. Based on same ideology. The motive of Hinduism is same what Lord Buddha achieved.

Meditation and rebirth happened in China before Buddhism enter China. Other culture and religion practice the same. A pure heart Buddhist is bare from having sex, eat meat, or conduct violent. Is the true with a pure Hindu?

I think some are talking about the contents and others about the container.
Contents are all the same materials make up human bodies and spirits.

Budha came from Nepal, having nothing to do with india. what a moron to make this painting.

You are right. Siddhartha was a Nepali prince but he meditated and achieved enlightenment in India, that is what Buddha means - enlightenment.

Yes, it is true with a pure Hindu - he is referred to as bal brahmachari and he cannot have sex meat alcohol or any worldy pleasure. Hindus by culture are more or less veggies except for the Hindus of north eastern regions of India and Nepal.

Buddhism is one of the smallest minority religions in India

Hinduism has hundreds of gods: stones, trees, fishes, birds, cows, elephants, monkeys, rats, lizards, snakes, tortois, boars, tigers, donkeys, lions, peacocks, fire, wind, sky, sun, moon, (Please feel free to make corrections or additions)

True again, but without India there would have been no Buddhism in the world.
And Buddhism is really not a major part of our spiritual world.
