Learn marketing.

Most product has their own segment, including western global brands in China market. There will always segment in China market for Apple, Adidas, Loreal, Tesla, and other western brands.
Meanwhile in the West, no one has a clue about Anta or Li Ning.

Chinese global brands for clothing/sport/etc are just emerging, so you can't expect everybody has clue, and you cant compare with established global brands from west. Just wait for another 10 years.

Oh look its the routine US regime propaganda mouthpiece script grasping for straws and intelligence insulting spins to fellate their ignorant and uneducated American audience after American companies have been cut out of billions and already backtracked one after another on their virtue signalling about fake US regime propaganda on pressure of the US regime and its fake activists and the usual shills sperging out about it trying their best to miss the big picture... 🙄

Of course the boycott is "loosing so much steam" US regime propaganda mouthpieces are still frantically on damage control about it half a week later with data from half a week before US companies even felt the heat and started jumping ship.

they seems to mostly target h&m to warn other monkeys. nike and addidas are still available on all e-commerce platforms. h&m is not. even landlords are kicking em out offline. h&m is dead.

anyways, i don't think the boycott is losing steam. that is just 1 day fire sales to super fans with huge discount prices. they are not majority. scmp is trash. the true impact will show when they released their next earnings call.
:sarcastic: :sarcastic: :sarcastic:
China demonstrate that the power of consumerism in a free market economy.

The Chinese Government have never issue any ban or restrictions on these foreign companies.

Nowadays Chinese are openly displaying their PATRIOTISM.

In China people life goes on. Well there is a good deal around, why not? They lined up for such SALES.

This is unlike in USA where the hungry folks line up to 4 hours in food banks.
Statistics show 1 in 5 Americans in the US is doing that daily.

Back in China, the mindset of the people and rules have changed.
These foreign brands will no longer be No. 1 and will have to compete with the local brands in the future.

Is that Good or Bad?

Iphone is made in China.. and apple never say they believe Xinjiang genocide and don't used Xinjiang cotton. So what is your point?

Chinese only against companies smear Xinjiang cotton. They never say buy only domestic brand. Get your fact, right!

Wait Chinese abandon tesla 3 how? Next month you will see tesla 3 out of top 10 sales.

Tesla delivered a record 184,800 vehicles in Q1. An that’s without producing any Model S or X. Tesla crushed it in March. Awaiting China specific results, but it’s clear your wrong once again.

Chinese love the status that Western brands like Nike and Apple bring. It’s why you see the “Wolf Warrior” himself using the latest IPhone, Nike products selling out in minutes, and Tesla dominating the Chinese EV market. It’s all about status and prestige.
Iphone is the best phone in the world ,this comes from a samsung s21 user who recently switched from iPhone,it's not the fault of chinese to have picked the best phone in the world, without real alternative for the integrated hardware-software interface that iphone provides,it has nothing to do with west or east. It's like how west pick DJI, the best drone maker in the world.Iphone has 15 % market share in CN.

model 3 seems to be losing its appeal after the new byd han and such made similar offerings .

  1. Wuling Hong Guang MINI EV - 20,167
  2. Tesla Model 3 - 13,688
  3. Tesla Model Y - 4,630
  4. Great Wall Ora R1 / Black Cat - 4,561
  5. BYD Han (BEV) - 4,100

Meanwhile in the West, no one has a clue about Anta or Li Ning.
Give Anta 10 more years.Even Chinese knows western brands more because those NBA and EPL stars mostly wears NIKE/ADIDAS . It may change when Anta gets more wealthy and starts buying rights on official kits of big teams.

I heard rumour CPC threaten to ban Tesla and Boeing airplane completely if US and their allies continue to spread rumour about Xinjiang. Your happy days are on lifeline.

Boeing already fold under... What's next for Tesla? :enjoy: The most stupid thing about Tesla sales heavily depend on China is a big mistake. This enable China to hold US at ransom as we have bargain chips. And you stupidly still so happy giving China a great bargain chip?

Tesla dead or alive depend on CPC. Not even Elon Musk is greater than CPC.

China never banned any of thess companies. They better work harder to regain Chinese customers' loyalty.

The price to pay for politicizing US and its 5-eye Anglo-Saxon nation agenda.

Starts by sponsoring and sending their purchasing teams to Xinjiang cotton fields.

Xinjiang is reputed to produce the best cotton in the world today due to the weather.

Haha, so FUN TO WATCH the US struggling to compete with China the newcomer manufacturer and novice of vehicles.
All this due the the POWER OF CHINA to realize the success of the electric vehicle and China CHANGED THE FOCUS OF VEHICLES FROM ICE TO ELECTRIC.

A Truly MIRACULOUS and HUMONGOUS FEAT by China.
TRULY A CHINESE REVOLUTION

The electric vehicle revolution will come from China

lol I agree actually. I don't see anything wrong in indulging in some luxuries if they can afford it. It's true that Chinese see many Western brands as prestige as well. It will take quite s while for their products to be held to the same regard . However it's also understandable, we shouldn't forget that they started their real industrialisation/open up/join world trade organization and started their rise just a few decades ago. So in this regard, they have moved up quite fast than most expected. The japanese rose up even faster . So the last thing we should do is underestimate them. If the japanese could do it so fast , i think the chinese also have a chance to do it( giving the share some similarities) and they have a far larger population, resources and landmass
than Japan . So even if they end up being just half as productive as the japanese then they will still more than match and dwarf the US.
The main advantage they have is their size/population. Else they will not have such an impact .

Moreover, its expected that they would have reacted somehow to some of our brands taking such stands on xinjiang and calling off cotton use from their region. To be fair to them, their government is actually quite laid back/reserved, pragmatic and less emotional . Unlike say India. I believe if it was India the government would have taken a much more forceful approach from such meddling by foreign companies/brands(just look at how the government openly manhandled Amnesty International until they had no choice but to pull out).

The fact that the Chinese government has actually taken a hands off pproach is actually commendable and reassuring. It's no wonder they have a more enabling environnement for attracting foreign investments despote all the political rhetoric from the West we still invest there alot. At the end of the day, it's Business and money that matters . Human rights issues comes secondary and they should since it's not our business to be too involved to be honest. I acknowledge that it's a difficult road to thread for our companies/brands with huge investments and business in China. Reason i understand why most of them retracted their previous more open critical statement over this and issued a more mild and reconciliatory message. After all they have business interests to protect and that's what matters at the end of the day.

Well, you can't blame others who might not be aware then. China' s system/media/internet is closed off from the world. That's also the unintended consequences of the great firewall. It means that your own media and people dont have access to the world in a significant manner to tell their own story, so we do it for you instead. 😁
