A 12-year old Chinese boy has astonished the audience on a TV talent show by solving three Rubik’s cube puzzles in about 55 seconds – two with his hands and one between his feet.
Que Jianyu accomplished the feat while appearing on the Australian version of the children’s talent show Little Big Shots.

Que’s first stunt on Sunday was to memorise the positions of the squares on a cube and then complete the puzzle with a blindfold on. He did so in about 12 seconds.

“I need to memorise the position of every single square and use the formula to solve it,” he said in Putonghua through an interpreter.

The programme’s host Shane Jacobson said: “That’s unbelievable. I cannot remember how to spell his name and I’ve seen it written on the wall about 10 times.”

Que also had a race with his idol, Australian Rubik’s cube player Feliks Zemdegs who holds the world record of solving the puzzle in 4.73 seconds, although the boy lost by a few seconds.

Que then took off his shoes and successfully completed three cubes using his hands and feet, prompting the audience to burst into applause.

Que was brought up in Xiamen in Fujian province and learned how to solve Rubik’s cube puzzles when he was six, according to the Xiamen Daily.

His ability made him a regular on children’s TV talent shows.

He had one setback on the German TV show Superkids two years ago when he failed to solve the puzzle blindfolded.
