Chinese and Vietnamese border

Are you a retard to compare this with EU? Canadian also drives into US, can mexican do that?

Look at the US&mexico border, or india&bd, where india set up a fence and shoot on spot. In comparison, we does treat you like an angel. But I know your ungrateful nature will never be able to appreciate that.

Because there is no fence along our border, you cunning viets smuggled million tons of rice , pork ect into China every year. That is why we should also build up a fence and you people don't deserve to be treated that well.
No need for you to explode nor jump off window!

Asean and China have established free trade, with tariffs to zero, so why is it a need for Vietnamese to smuggle rice and porks to China? For what reason? Evading tariffs? How if it is zero tariffs? You have a heart as small as an orange. How will you want to raise to a respected superpower?

Here is more. These people are respectable. Vietnamese people share the similar culture with China. They are very hardworking. Sooner or later they will become developed. Unlike Supa Pawa 2012, full of lazy people wandering around, doing nothing, just boasting and daydreaming...
I agree.
Hope both countries can mend their differences soon and work towards a strong Asia, or at least a strong East Asia that will overwhelm the US and the EU markets.
Interesting video.
It seems they have to dismount from their bicycles over the crossing.

I can drive by car on highways from Germany to Holland, Belgium to France to Italy and beyond without interruption, can buy a house anywhere in those countries, can take a job, can live there at any time.

In contrast the aspirant superpower China allows people in the southern neighbor to carry little goods by horse carts, going by foot, running to factories. You call it generous?

That's customs union, my friend, and visa free travel. I wish we achieved that in Northeast Asia+Vietnam. That would be great but how many of your leaders have the political capital to even suggest a customs union with China?

I am now in Vietnam. Vinh Yen actually, north of Hanoi. It seems it is a very young country, a lot young people. Yes, they work hard. But not as aggressive as Chinese. And they are more polite than I thought.

By the way, there are a lot motorbikes here. I meant, a lot.

Vinh Yen belongs to Vinh Phuc province, Im living in Hanoi near your location about 70km, If you have free time for vacation, You should come to "Tam Dao", This is small town and famous mountain in the north of Vietnam, this looks like a small Da Lat.

We are poor hence one way traffic. China doesn’t allow private vehicles hence people need to walk or run to the factories and markets in China. Allowing cars, bikes and buses will be a great thing. Hey it is a good start though. Until recently China laid mines along the border to Vietnam, with the PLA shooting everyone that move suspicious towards the border gates. VN/CN border, It was even more dangerous than the DMZ between the two Korea‘s.
VN and CHINA used to be brothers,it's sad to see two brothers country become enemy and let USA take benifit from its, despite the disputes,I do not see why a chinese and a Vietnamese can not be good friend!

Which way make you think they are not agressive, they take south CHINA islands which they used to admit belong to CHINA during the VN war just after its unification and later take control of Cambodia and Laos despite the demands of peace and.rest of.its own people(CHINA is no better on.this maybe worse, but VN issues no good neither),i do not see the none aggressive part you are talking about!
You live in VN and in order to keep yourself alive in VN ,the above words would make sense!

Nonsense. BTW, the word “aggressive”is talking about people's attitude to life, to work, to business. Don't worry about my safety, I feel quite safe here, almost comparable to being in China. Actually, I felt so safe, that I alone, run several kilometers on the road, last night, with or without road lamps, just motorbikes passing me fast. I don't know if i would do that tonight, considering the heavy dust, or maybe i shall take on another road.

I had two days in Hanoi. Been to the Hoan Kiem Lake, the millitary museum, the Korean's Lotte Mart and so on. We tried Vietnamese foods, some good, some not so good. And the price of things here is not cheaper!

I asked people why not buy cars but ridding on motorbikes, which is much more dangerous. Simple reply is that they can't afford, as cars are so expensive, almost double in price comparing with China. Can you imgine that a toyota carola costs more than 200 thousand RMB?and a volkswagen passat costs more than 420 thousand RMB?

However, even a motorbike is dear, more than 10 thousand RMB……

Hanoi, though not as developed as Chinese cities in infrastructure, buildings, has its charm. I am gonna post some pictures.

What i said is the truth not nonesense, can you deny the truth that VN took control of cambodia and laos for almost ten years!
talking about attitude, you think chinese spirits are agressive ? You do not know china at all! STOP compare VN vs CHINA coz you know nothing about CHINA!

ALL westerns people once they arrived and know chineses, they would give the fair assesment by rank chinese as the most peaceful race on this planet even when they have been provoked! What we have done when USA bombed our ambassy in
Yugoslavia?some protests and that it was!
Chinese gov today is not aggressive but weak.
Strong to its own people but very weak to foreigners, that is the saidness of chinese people !
PLA is no more thr PLA in korea war ,their leaders have no bolds!

I live near Lottle Mart, So true, the tax on car in Vietnam maybe are 300 percent, A lot of Vietnamese could not afford for one car, the reason I think It is the quality of the road of Vietnam, not good enough for a lot of car, An advice for you when coming to Vietnam, Dont eat near Vietnamese downtown, better getting on taxi and visit Hanoi, the price for food near Hoan Kiem Lake many higher than 2 or 3 times compared with one another. what did you do in Vietnam? for a factory in Vinh Yen? Because I know has a lot of foreign companies in Vinh Yen.

Chinese visitors to Vietnam see rise in 11 months
Xinhua, November 29, 2017

HANOI, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam received roughly 3.6 million Chinese visitors between January and November, posting a year-on-year surge of 44.9 percent, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said on Wednesday.

Vietnam welcomed a total of more than 11.6 million international arrivals, up 27.8 percent on-year, with the highest growth of 55.3 percent in the number of visitors from South Korea, followed by China (up 44.9 percent) and Russia (34.8 percent), partly due to Vietnam's hosting Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Year 2017, including the APEC Leaders' Week in November in central Da Nang city.

Of the international arrivals in the 11-month period, roughly 9.9 million came to Vietnam by air, up 31 percent; over 1.5 million by road, up 16.2 percent; and 230,500 by sea, down 7.7 percent.

Meanwhile, nearly 8.8 million visitors are from Asia, up 32.6 percent; over 1.7 million from Europe, up 17 percent; 745,500 from the United States, up 10.9 percent, 384,900 from Oceania, up 13.7 percent, and 31,900 from Africa, up 27.1 percent.

Vietnam is actively promoting its major tourist sites in Chinese cities and cooperating with local authorities to handle poorly-performing travel agencies, hoping to lure some 4 million Chinese tourists out of 13 million foreign visitors this year, said the administration under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Last year, Vietnam received over 10 million foreign visitors, including 2.7 million Chinese tourists, posting respective rises of 26 percent and 51.4 percent.
