Rafale the most deadly jetfighter.... I dont think even russia has a jetfighter like Rafale.... Yes PAK-FA deadly but again Rafale will beat Pak-fa in technology unless until india uses french and israel technology on it.... Rafale is Semi-stealth.... It beaten F-22 raptor and the pilot of F-22 said he wish he get chance to Fly rafale.... China lags far behind in technology that india getting from developed Nation.... It posses no threat to india.... However there is not total stealth jet fighter being build by india so indian Navy will go for F-35.... Combination of F-35, Rafale and mig29 will be the most biggest threat to enemy.... Indian Navy already shown intrest in F-35 however our goverment wants TOT which is not possible....

The PAK-FA India will buy will be a "MKIsed" version of the basic PAK-FA the RuAF will get so it will have Indian,French and Israeli avionics, sensors and mission computers. But to be fair to Russia they are no slouches in this arena and even the basic PAK-FAs they will get will be very deadly and capable. But yes, the Rafale sensor fusion with the SPECTRA system is increible and is perhaps the best such system on any fighter on the planet- better than even the F-22s for sure! And I'm sure the IAF will be very interested in such systems for their 5th gen fighters. The ToT of the Rafale and French assitance is going to be very helpful in the coming years.

The weapons F35 can carry are somewhat special . It can carry American bunker busters , high yield explosives and cluster bombs that can destroy hostile installations with in a go and the main advantage is they can return safely with out escort using its EW systems and powerful AESA radar . While F35s perform SEAD and PAKFAs will provide air superiority .

The threat of stealth fighter is hot air, whether it is j-31,fgfa ,f-35. Their high cost ,high maintenance,low availability, huge IR,acoustic signature ,high electronic emissions can be used to detect them. The term stealth is a fallacy as it only caters to X band and C band radar and even for them it is not all aspect.
The solution is not FGFA or F-35 but asymmetric approaches like passive sensors,UHF/VHF/L band AESA radars,multi spectral camouflaging of assets(LO fighters dont fly low so targetting from high altitude will be near impossible),light/medium AAA like the quad 14.5mm, zu-23, skyshield 35,cruise missiles to attack the huge bases these aircraft would operate from.
We also need fighters which fulfill the basics like kinematic performance,low maintenance,small size,affordable,only relevant sensors with no gold plating, which can fly from semi prepared runways and not fully furnished airbases. The most important of all ,competent trained personnel and decentralized command and control structures.
All these when implemented will create a combined vietnam/kosovo scenario for any adversary by unacceptable attrition of expensive assets.
