The one thing that impressed me the most about the tank was when I read about it's self-defense system it is very damaging to the opposing tank's gunner 's eyes you will love it.

The latest improved version has been resolved before emerging issues. Now the performance is very good. But also not heavily equipped army.

I think the Type-99 wouldn't be made in large numbers due to the high costs.

China would stick to the more economical Type-96 as the main MBT.

I agree with the above posters....so far the Type 99 has only been issued to certain divisions. (specifically those tasked with protecting the leadership) the type 96 will probably equip the majority of Chinese tank divisions.
