Wrong, in both the cases you lost sovereignty. 1st US came as ally and started bombing your people, now China is coming as an ally, and only time will tell what are they going to do. But in both the cases, you lost respect, and this is why no one takes Pakistan seriously inspite of being a nuclear power. Do you have any idea about the difference in India at that time and now. Then there was no single entity like India, It was hundreds of independent states and was not a military power for most of the time (It was at the time of Chandra Gupt Maurya and Ashoka). Current India is a united military power. I think this will clear you doubts.

The did not accept the Japanese occupation. Unlike Indians(pakistanis included) they did not join the British Civil Service. They did not form organizations like Congress(Muslim League included) and bow before the Japanese. Surely you must acknowledge this.
