SINGAPORE—China’s top nuclear-weapons research institute has bought sophisticated U.S. computer chips at least a dozen times in the past two and half years, circumventing decades-old American export restrictions meant to curb such sales.

A Wall Street Journal review of procurement documents found that the state-run China Academy of Engineering Physics has managed to obtain the semiconductors made by U.S. companies such as Intel Corp. and Nvidia Corp. since 2020 despite its placement on a U.S. export blacklist in 1997.

Chinas reliance on American technology and know how continues

In a war, China has way worse problems. China is the biggest importer of food and energy, China's navy and military can't stop the west from blocking China from its food and energy supply.
They have Russian pipelines after all.

I was going to to say that about you Zionists, how and where will you escape? In case of a naval blockade imposed on you, which continent is going to accept rats like you? You are already surrounded by Arab people.

Go ahead and block. Don't make China wait too long. If not, you are just a hot air coward.

You like talking about the world's reliance on China but not about China's reliances.

I'm saying a world war isn't something the world needs and China's obsession with taking over democratically elected Taiwan could bring a world war which would put everyone's life in danger. And in general I am giving you guys some good reasons to think many times before starting that war, to convince you this isn't something you want to advocate for, because such a war, even if it's limited to conventional weapons, is sure to bring a famine and an energy crisis to China on scales probably Mao haven't reached.

And even though you did save Jews, and we are thankful for everyone that ever did, that does not legitimize risking such a global war. Give up on Taiwan or a world war is inevitable, China is acting irrational over this piece of land.

It is impossible to lose imported food and cause famine. China's own food production ensures that each person has a yearly food supply of 450KG. Perhaps the disappearance of food imports would lead to a reduction in meat production? Because the vast majority of the imports are corn, the purpose of the imports is listed as animal feed
