Sino-Pak relationship has changed dramatically over the last decade and a half, in that context its better to look at how China behaved during the Kargil War. Isnt that more relavant?
I dont quite agree on it. This relationship has not changed in essence, Chinese handling in different way though.
After all, similarity makes friendship while dispute probably generates enmity, if looking back to border issues among the three countries. This accounts for the frequent Sino-Pak military joint productions, which as I personally guess, is actually China's new method in assistance to Pakistan: help keeping a balance if the two(Indo,Pak) wouldn't reach a consensus at present,in order to avoid further war or rather say,Pakistan's loss.
Should we hate India due to our friendship with Pakistan?
India is one of the biggest countries in world,as well as important. China needs to maintain a good ,at least normal relationship with it, instead of holding on absolute sense of right and wrong.
So comes another remarkable saying in China (traceable to Dengxiaoping, the switchman of China in the recent half century ): "Seeking common ground while accepting the existing differences." which has been used on Sino-Indo relationship. No one can live up in a hate stuffed world.
What would China do if another Kargil War breaks out?
Certainly reconcilement.
The Northern Irish peace has been achieved with human wisdom, and wishfully there could also be Kashmiri peace by Indian and Pakistani wisdom.
btw,I dont think I have enough qualifications in commenting over the Kashmiri issue.( I was not there, not even sure about the international opinion. might or might not who won the war won in the voice, on which it all depends)
