What's new

China's population is projected to decline to 800 million, while US goes to 450 million.

Even in secular countries like Turkey--Islam is at the center of society and thriving. Even in Western World--Muslims are thriving, hijabs are common, halal food is everywhere, and thousands of new mosques build over the years.

What an impressive sign of development and superior civilization!

Nobody claimed it is an impressive sign of development.

Stop with this childish play of misquoting and what not.

Read my posts in context to which I was replying--and you'll know what I was talking about.

This is largely logic made up to fit what is happening. Do you think Japan is getting lean and mean? (China due to one-child policy will face even harsher climate compared to Japan)

Of the 700-800 million people, the ratio of aged will be pretty high, and the overall population will easily have a median age of above 40.

Not really lean or mean.
Japan is a 100mil on a small island. They can't be compare to a Continental China with 800mil. The closest is the whole EU.

Well, examples can be had on smaller scales, can't they?

For example, Sunway Blue Light was an example of Chinese supercomputer with indigenous chips at 1 Peak Pflops, while Sunway Taihulight is at 125 Peak Petaflops.

The fact is that your population dynamics, and things related to it like innovation, economy, will follow a Japanese path, largely due to the same issues: ageing, and declining population.

We didn't follow a Japanese path. I don't know where you get that idea coming from but it is not true. As far as we are concern, by that time, we are too advance that I'm afraid we have AI robots to do the dirty works. Remember, you need to seek that balance in demographics. You don't want to have overpopulation that competition is too intense for resources but you also don't want the population to be too low given the size of country mass that you can't get multiple massive project done due to lack of human resources. 800-900 is the perfect medium for a country our size. Rich, powerful. Lean and mean.
