first things first, we need a super grid my friends, that alone will save tons in power usage(of course it costs though)

There was a recent report by the army staff college that said the threat to China's energy supply in the future may not be a naval blockade but internal inefficiencies. But China and the CCP are good at large scale infrastructure projects, if a supergrid is indeed what China needs, there's little doubt that China would get it.

(and I would also buy copper futures like mad, if such a project is ever announced)
