You got serious English comprehension problem or what? It clearly says they were negotiating and China nominated one sided. On other thread too you were doing same, people eager to comment before reading often end up being a laughing stock.

I think he does it for attention. A trend which I have noticed in many Indian members.

The Chinese nominated 'sinopec'. Totally agree. But they are not forcing us to make a deal with sinopec.

How did you infer that they are forcing it down our throats? Our government will simply reject this company and move on to the next company.

If the Chinese refuse (they won't obviously) we can always make a deal with france or italy.

Its all about money. China wants money. Pakistan wants LNG.

Haha, quite funny. But something tells me Iran's gas will cheaper to Pakistan than any other country.
By the time you agreement China when materialise it will take another couple of years by pipeline otherwise you plan to buy it roadways. Same time Iran will take. Just you country's economic analysts need to check and it will be good for your country in the long run.

Two things:

1) If your officials are so worried this means Chinese decided that for you else they wont be worried if Sinopec applied like just another company in tender.

2) I dont think its so easy for your govt. to reject it provided the Chinese are managing all the financing and thats the reason those officials are worried.

If the Chinese refuse (they won't obviously) we can always make a deal with france or italy.

There was nothing like "criticism" in it. Since when did insults become "Criticism"?

I am not worried about Criticism, you can criticize India or me whatever you want, keep it decent and factual I will be more than happy to join you. My country is not perfect and plagued by lot of problems and we are working on them, a few people are creating new problems they will be tackled too once we tackle the very basic necessities of human life. Keep it civil you will find me more than interesting even on worst threads.

I think there is a confusion of understanding as to what is LNG, LPG etc.

There is no way any one can get LNG living near the Iran border. People instead would get LPG which would come in cylinders.

LPG is liquefied Propane and / or Butane, often a mixture of the two. These are C3H8 & C4H10 hydrocarbons that are liquefied under pressure. That is why you get LPG in heavy metal cylinders. As a rule of thumb LPG is mostly propane and at ambient temperature of say 25 deg C, pressure inside the LPG cylinder would be about 140 psi with the cylinder about 80% full. When you open the valve, liquid turns into gas at the ratio of 1:270 meaning 1 ml of LPG will give out about 270 cc of propane when evaporated. LPG is transported in pressurized as well as refrigerated ships. Propane would liquefy at temperatures below -44 deg C.

Natural gas is mostly Methane which is CH4 hydrocarbon. Natural gas when cooled to -162 deg C turns to liquid and called LNG or liquefied natural gas. Liquefaction of natural gas is an expensive process and only done in cases where natural gas transhipment via pipeline line is not possible. LNG is normally transported in specially constructed vessels where temperature is less than minus 162 deg C and maximum pressure is 4 psi (normal atmospheric pressure at sea level is about 14.7 psi). LNG must be converted to gaseous form before it can be used. I ml of LNG will produce 634 cc of natural gas.

Natural gas when transported in gaseous form is almost always via pipeline and it would the same for Iran - Pakistan pipeline. In case of long distance pipelines such Iran – Pakistan pipeline, pumping pressure could be as much as 1500 psi (more than 100 bar) and volume compression could be in excess of 1:500. Since there is loss of pressure over a distance; long distance gas pipelines have booster pumping stations at roughly 80 to100 Km distance. Within the city however, one would expect pipeline gas pressure to be about 200 psi. Gas piped into homes could be at as low as ¼ psi. Compressed natural gas (CNG) stations on the other hand would be pumping at as much as 4,000 psi.

By the way psi stands for pounds per square inch. Additionally by psi I refer to psig in this context and not psia.

Trust the above clarifies the misunderstanding between LPG, LNG, CNG & natural gas.

This is exactly what happens when you become too dependent on single country. Always keep your options open, dont get isolated to a single country otherwise they will have more than enough power to do whatever they want irrespective of your wishes.

Why is it a violation of sovereignty? They are paying the bill for CPEC havent you noticed? They can choose whoever they darn well please....and pakistan better just keep their "concerns" to themselves. It would be similar to Pakistan demanding that US produces F-16s using Pakistani companies with full ToT and US pay for all that as well.

I went onto to compare the deal. As i said we have reservations, we forwarded, now they will accept and change the company or perhaps alleviate our concern with gurantees. So what is your problem here ?
