China's Monster City : JUST MASSIVE!!! Chongqing

Most impressive, world has a lot to learn from China.

How Chongqing city monorails do track switching

A train comes in every 5 minutes, so how they do track switching?

Every station has an air conditioned glass lounge, if the weather is too hot or too cold, people can wait for their trains in those air conditioned glass houses.

Chongqing is building a $5 billion sideways skyscraper.

The Crystal skybridge has been dubbed a horizontal skyscraper. The massive project is part of the Raffles City Chongqing megastructure, which is basically a city all by itself.

The Raffles City Complex cost $4.9 million USD to build, and it will feature luxury apartments, a shopping center, garden, observation deck, infinity pool and numerous high-end dining experiences.

The Crystal is the focal point of the massive project and it just had its grand opening. Chongqing is one of the fastest growing cities in China and one of the largest cities in the world. Business is bustling in the Tier one Chinese city.

Raffles City Chongqing will be a tourism and transportation hub for the city. Busses, subways, and ferries will all connect to the skyscraper project. Crystal skybridge is the tallest sideways skyscraper in the world and the second tallest skybridge.

It will feature Chongqing’s tallest garden, and Raffles City will feature exhibits on ancient Chinese trading and mars colonization. Watch this video to learn all about the details and work that went into the building and designing the Crystal and Raffles City. Will you be visiting Chongqing, China anytime soon to see this amazing skyscraper? It’s one of the most unique skyscrapers in the world.

As expected, this city has zero class.

Come to Chicago & see how a real first-class city looks like!
Chongqing is not a first tier city, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong kong are undisputed first tier cities, Beijing is also a first tier city, she doesn't have jungles of skycrapers but boasts 6 Unesco world heritage listed sites.
One foreign celebrity alledgedly said, Beijing can spend 50 years to build a New York, but New York needs 5000 years to build a Beijing.

just like how the people in Europe and Japan raised up nice cities out of garbage or nothing after being given huge amount of USD investments and factories so they could serve America.
Over a trillion dollars of direct investment in China by Americans just since 2000 (according to statista.com). Surely many hundreds of billions before that. All that wealth can cause a whole lot of stuff to be built.
Genesis will have revenge.

All combined are nothing in comparison to Chicago, let alone New York.

It’s time to realize the difference between garbage and class. Infinite ugly architectural blasphemies and beautifully designed & embedded structures.

New York is garbage, check their dirty streets , filthy subway, rundown shanty towns..I never want to live there again.

I lived in many cities in both China and US, how many Chinese cities have you lived?

Now Shenzhen is the most preferred city for young people, surpassing Beijing , Shanghai and Hong kong, this 40 years old city is better planned and organised than Beijing and Shanghai.

It all looks fancy in pictures and videos....because that's what the narrator wants you to see....until you actually go live there and actually experience it. Below pics are from the same city.

Disease, like Covid-19, also spreads rapidly in "monster cities".
In the UK there is a policy directive that limits the population density of a new complex by ' number of bedrooms per acre/ hectare'. The idea of crowding large numbers of people in a small area is outdated and a failed policy.

Same here in Beijing, very strict hight restriction for buildings, that's why many in China call Beijing " the biggest village in China".
