Anyway...Helping one's countrymen on home soil is completely different than being part of an expeditionary force being on permanent standby status readied to be sent outside the borders to fight for a cause that may have dubious political and ideological justifications.
Gee, I wonder why they have low morale...maybe it is because it is a war with dubious political and ideological justifications?
While I am not in the military myself, both of my grandparents are veterans from the liberation war. My grandpa from dad's side is also a Korean war veteran who operates artillery in the 39th army. I honestly don't know what they teach soldiers in US, but in China, we teach them obey commands, put the good of the whole above self and put the people above everyone else, fighting and dying for corporate greed and infringing other nation's internal affair is never on the agenda.
