China's incoming president Xi Jinping's family has wealth of 100 millions

.
Chinese leader Xi Jinping worth a billion dollars

WHILE the incoming boss of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping, was instructing new cadres to study Mao Zedong Thought and avoid the lure of money, his siblings were quietly amassing a private fortune worth well over $US1 billion.

Most of the identifiable assets have been acquired by the family of Mr Xi's elder sister, Qi Qiaoqiao, in the past 10 years, but obscured beneath assumed names and layers of holding companies, according to a Bloomberg investigation.

Their 33-year-old daughter owns $US50 million worth of Hong Kong real estate, for example, including a $US31.5 million waterside home in Hong Kong that remains empty.

Mr Xi's niece also owns a $US20 million slice of a local technology company, whose share price has jumped 40-fold since she bought in.

Much of the family's wealth remains unclear and untallied because of the absence of Chinese corporate and real estate disclosure rules, as well as a propaganda system that bans media discussion of leaders' personal details and removes them from the internet.

I think that ir respective of the nature of Govt in a country - Communism, Democracy, Dictatorship,Fundamentalist - the leaders always make money.

Maybe we should accept this as a fact of life.

There is no Utopia in this world, if you are born as an ordinary citizen, then just accept your boring life. :coffee:

Sometimes you can make it exciting. I think I'd hate life if I was born in Qatar and became obese off the sweat and blood of foreign workers. Then again I'd hate life if I was born in the African bush too...

China's incoming president Xi Jinping's family 'has wealth of hundreds of millions'
The family of China's next president has amassed a fortune running into hundreds of millions of pounds, according to a hugely damaging new report.

By Malcolm Moore, Beijing

3:40PM BST 29 Jun 2012

The revelation comes as the Communist party faces increasingly difficult questions about how its leaders, who are paid ministerial salaries of just £8,000-a-year, live such gilded lives.

Another 3.17 million yuan investment in Beijing's Hiconics Drive Technology company, made in 2009, is now worth 128.4 million yuan. The sums do not account for liabilities and consequently do not reflect the net worth of the family.-
I only general find the "Beijing's Hiconics Drive Technology company", 北京合康亿盛变频科技股份有限公司 (HICONICS DRIVE TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.), made in 2003.6.11, an limited company quoted on stock exchanges, worth 1816million Yuan, sales turnover: 613million yuan;

in the paper
"Most of the traceable fortune is held by Mr Xi's older sister, Qi Qiaoqiao, 63, her husband Deng Jiagui, 61, and her daughter Zhang Yannan, 33. However, a brother-in-law, Wu Long, ran New Postcom Equipment Co, which has won hundreds of millions of yuan in contracts from state-owned China Mobile.
"
a joke, the first name of Xi's sister should be "Xi" but not "Qi" qiaoqiao, and her daughter's first name should be "Deng" follows her father "Deng Jiagui";

"
Other companies in the same group, wholly owned by the family, have assets of at least 539.3 million yuan. They also have an indirect 18 per cent stake in Jiangxi Rare Earth & Rare Metals Tungsten Group, whose assets are worth some £1.1 billion.
"
Jiangxi Rare Earth & Rare Metals Tungsten Group, is a large state-owned enterprise, belong to Jiangxi province, found in 1949, the wholly group belongs to Jiangxi province government

This is magnificent news.
Bloomberg always spews anti-Chinese propaganda.
I hope our government goes further and completely kicks them out of china just like we did to al-jazeera.
The west think we will bow down to them like Indians do. Bowing down to white people is an Indian trait, it might fly in India, but you try to spew sh*t about us and we will punch back and we punch right between the eyes.
We will go tit for tat.
We back down from NO ONE.

I hope Bloomberg loses its license to operate in china.
Hopefully we do the same to sky news and Washington post.

We don't need foreign media, our biggest mistake was allowing foreign media into china, every single article is anti-Chinese f*lth.
We don't need those scumbags.

Get out and stay out.
Finally our government is taking a hardline approach to these foreign trash.

Foreigners especially westerners and their NGOS, journalists, professors, lawyers, diplomats, etc think they are above the law in china.

They take our kindness for our weakness.
It's long overdue that we took a ruthless and hardline approach with the west.

I'm not so sure anymore. I searched for Hiconics on Baidu and the company's official corporate website was blocked for some reason, while it wasn't on any other search engine. Even more interestingly, you have to search in English Hiconics on a very obscure engine to get any results, but you get no results for the native search. This is getting interesting.

which politicians are not rich in the world?
but the difference is most of those ****** rich Indian politicians fortune is built on exploration of 90% of its poor population...and then transfered their money aborad, I know alot from City University, London...

Right on dude.
Also factor in performance of Chinese government vs Indian Government. If the Chinese government were to perform as badly as Indian CONgress party, peasants would have stormed Beijing by now.
The Chinese government might be corrupt but they get things done - ie 10% siphoned.
Indian Government is so corrupt virtually nothing gets done and exorbitant amounts of money is required to complete anything - ie 80% siphoned, project collapses.
