China’s high-speed rail carries record 10 billion passengers

Why are you so excited and so wrong?
China is doing well but u guys should control your unnecessary boasting.

"The world record for conventional wheeled passenger trains is held by France's specially tuned TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse). Reduced to three cars, it broke the world record in April 2007, reaching 574.8 km/h (357.2 mph) on a 140 km section of track.[1]"

I clearly wrote trials not operational. Even trains in trials require bearings.

That TGV broke speed record by carrying no passangers, only pull 2 carriages, and can maintain that speed only in several seconds :)

Agreed. But this discussion was on whether fuxing has 100% Chinese made parts. I don't believe its necessary to make all the parts but their is a difference between having the capability and not making due to economics.
LOL. You have no proof that its due to incapability that they didn't go for domestic or due to cost issue that they decide the import route for bearing. But fact is, the most difficult and most costly component for HSR which is the IGBT is 100% indigenous.

As for high end bearing, the report u show, reflects data from 2009 to 2010 onwards which clearly didnt reflects current 2019 situation. China has demonstrated ability on high end bearing for giant wind mill and many application. I dont think its is a problem for China for other projects.

from 22.00 mins onward, they talk about China making high end bearing for large wind mill that can challenge foreign products.

indians really have no clue about the development of China:

According to US,ehhhhh,China HSR are not safe whatever passegers they carried and no matter how long the running lenght is!
Anythings related to China are evil.
Thanks for your time! Jack, did you eat my Chinese food several minutes ago?! You rat bastard!

I am from core engineering. No one manufactures everything because its not required. Economies of scale and profitablity are important.
I have written that China is way ahead of India, so no question of ego.

China is trying but no hsr train has Chinese bearings

I believe we had a thread on this forum about Chinese having mastered the bearing tech for HSR around 1 year ago.

As an engineer and an amateur historian, I believe Chinese are among very few people in the world, together with the Japanese and German, who are capable to manufacture highly-precise piece of engineering, if they have investment.

I still remember that there was a very professional comparison thread. According to the unit population, the number of railway deaths per million people, the safety coefficient of China's railway ranks first in the world, that is to say: in China, for every one million people, The number of people killed in railway accidents in China is the lowest in the world. Ironically, Japan is behind China, although it is only a little behind.

Japan’s engineering and construction capabilities in the 1980s and 1990s were very strong, but now today, in the world, China has the world’s first engineering survey, engineering design, engineering construction and engineering operations and maintenance capabilities.

The two bridge projects in Vietnam, which the Japanese are desperately trying to build at all costs, are examples. The Japanese have neither the ability nor the funds and willingness to carefully build the bridge in Vietnam. These bridges have collapsed without being built. It’s really unbelievable. .

You are really the victim of fake information released on Chinese websites.

Seeing is beleiving.

Also
In 2007, the collapse of a bridge built in Vietnam by Japan was also pulled out. It must be said that the Vietnamese people were also very concerned. At that time, the collapse of the Can Tho Bridge made by Japan caused at least 52 deaths and 97 injuries.

There was only one collapse of Can Tho Bridge in 2007 while under construction. China is good when "there is no bridge collapse". Except for the "Also. In 2007, the collapse of a bridge built in Vietnam by Japan was also pulled out" case, can you explain about two images in your post?

You just said that the collapse of the Vietnam Bridge built by Japan is a fake news released by the Chinese media. Now you tell me that you admit it but the news I am talking about is not accurate?!!

This is fake news ,why not!

Can Tho bridge, started in 2004 and completed in 2010, built by Japanese contractors, is the worst ever project in modern construction history in Vietnam, with regards to safety. The incident on 26 Sep 2007 caused 53 deaths and 80 injured. The root cause was poor construction quality (lún lệch đài móng trụ tạm).

The viaduct section from Mai Dich to Phap Van of ring road 3 in Hanoi, also built with Japanese engineering, was also perhaps the worst engineering piece ever in Vietnam, in term of design.
