Micromax is a good brand for Indians with less money than PDF indians.

It is designed and manufactured for Second India.

It always starts with the assembly, then it moves up. Similar will be the case with India. Assembly, then moving up the ladder.



Also, even markets favor places where assembly happens. It is always more convenient to have suppliers close to the assembly location. This was one reason which helped China. Once assembly moves to India, other peripheral components will move too.

I wish this would be the case for India, just it was for China. But as a "democratic country" without governmental long term plans and strong execution tradition, Indian's greed businessmen will make this almost a mission impossible. Just take a look at your local market, can't Indian manufacturers make those low-tech cheap Chinese products that Indian members always having fun mocking China of?
