This particular experimental payload is the most interesting. “Space Debris Active Collector”? You know "one man's treasure maybe the other's debris". :partay:

. . . . .
A new rocket launched from a new launch-site. That's indeed a great progress of the Chinese aerospace sector.

However, that's not all about this mission. The loads on top of the rocket is a much much more important piece of this mission:
- YZ-1A restartable upper stage (like a shuttle bus on the orbit)
- multi-purpose scale-down return capsule (a key test vehicle for China's next generation manned spacecraft),
- Aolong-1 active space debris cleaner (a "rubbish" cleaner on the orbit. haha, we all know what it means)
- Sky-pigeon vehicle x 2, designed for data tracking and relay between space and earth
- Experimental in-orbit refueling device (i.e. a replenishment ship on the orbit)
- Aoxiang Cubesat, mainly for scientific experiments.

Some of the loads, like YZ-1A (the shuttle bus), Aolong-1 (the rubbish cleaner), the in-orbit refueling device, looks almost like "Star War"!!

Yuanzheng 1A *Expedition 1a): itself is also a kind of spacecraft, can fly independently, mult ignition , long time in orbit , launched by a rocket Long March VII, ferry other payload into the other tracks or spatial location. Expedition 1a main task this time is to verify the re-ignition startup , long time on orbit flying, and as other load carrying platform, to ferry " Aolong No.1", "soaring star", "Tiange aircraft" to different orbits, to carry out experiments on the orbit.

Model of Multi purpose spacecraft return capsule (hereinafter referred to as the return): the return with the transition section is " two cabin configuration" which has the shape of a inverted cone. The main task of the test is to obtain its aerodynamic and thermal data, validate its disassembly design of the thermal structure, and lays the foundation for next new manned spacecraft design and key technology research.

Aolong 1 "space debris initiative cleaner", based on the pre technology research and test on the ground, to simulate to clear the space debris as the goal, the validate the key technology for debris removal.
(here, i don't understand the 钝化处理, maybe this craft can hibernate and be roused when needed, does it big enough to clearn a satellite)

"Tiange aircraft": This launching two such aircrafts were sent to orbit, will carry out on orbit information relay technology test, can also be as information transfer station, heaven and earth information transmission.

orbit refilling experiment device: its role is similar to the "air tanker or refuelling plane", for the satellite, space station and other spacecraft in space orbit for gas, liquid supply, to extend the working life of the spacecraft. This experimental device does not separate from expedition 1A , after the end of the test mission it will re enter the atmosphere and burned.

NASA is making a robotic spacecraft that can refuel satellites
NASA has not only given the Restore-L mission its seal of approval, it has also zeroed in on its first potential client: government-owned satellite Landsat 7. The mission's goal is to develop and launch a robotic spacecraft, which can refuel and do maintenance work on satellites already in orbit, by 2020. As you can see in the image above, it will be equipped with robotic arms to catch its client's orbiters and a propellant transfer system to deliver measured quantities of fuel at the proper temperature and pressure.

The Restore-L mission could change the way the government and private space corporations build and operate satellites. It has the potential to extend the lifespan of spacefaring vehicles and could prevent their untimely death. Further, once the project is operational, companies could choose to deploy spacecraft with half-empty fuel tanks so that they could fit more instruments on board.

Benjamin Reed, deputy project manager for the NASA office that came up with the project, explained:

"With robotic servicing on the table, satellite owners can extend the lifespan of satellites that are running low on fuel, reaping additional years of service – and revenue – from their initial investment. If a solar array or a communications antenna fails to deploy, a servicer with inspection cameras and the right repair tools could help recover the asset that otherwise would have been lost. The loss of an anticipated revenue or data stream can be devastating."

Besides servicing other spacecraft, NASA is also using Restore-L to test various technologies for future missions to Mars and farther locations. These include its navigation system, robotic arm, software and orbital debris management. In fact, if everything goes according to plan, the agency is taking some technologies straight from the Restore-L spacecraft and using them on the Asteroid Redirect Mission that's slated to launch in mid-2020s.

Is that like a TV box connected to the internet?
Is all the channels live broadcast or just some. Do you have to pay a yearly fee. Does it have other channels like Feng Huang or other province TV station like Guangdong, Beijing Hunan etc ?
CCTV and a lot of provincial channels can be directly watched online.
But until now I can't find any official link to Hunan TV which is the most watched channel.

This is just a warm up for the big boy CZ-5! With such success, the confident is very high for the success of cz-5.

What make me very confident that we will control the space race is how young our scientists and engineers are compare to others. In 20-30 years, these young scientists and enginners will reach the prime of their career and the knowledge they gain from today success will transpire many to comes.

lol, we need to clean the universe!
So much trash there

:partay:

So much trash, indeed.

And not just in the outer space.

China is cleaning the space. Putin is cleaning the earth.

Still lots of trash remaining, LOL.

That space trash cleaner China has just sent over might mistake active platforms as trash -- if it needed.
