China’s education problem: master’s degree graduates working in factories

$1238 is still higher then minimum wage in the US. Plus he gets commission. It's similar to what a entry salesman would make in the US.

Not by much $7.25*(2000/12)=$1208
That's the Federal minimum BTW not the state.

In my state it is $12.75
$12.75*(2000/12)=$2125
14 year old kids working as baggers in grocery stores make this.
The 14yr old can then buy a Mate4.

. . . . .
Today's exchange rate
1 Dollar = 6.48 Yuan, Dollar experienced free fall against Yuan in the past 6 months

ok..
$7.25*(2000/12) = $1208 = 1208*6.48rmb=7827 rmb
$12.75*(2000/12)=$2125 = 2125*6.48rmb=13,770 rmb

Actually my state upped it to 13.50 from $12.75 on January 1st.

$13.50*(2000/12)=$2250= 2250*6.48rmb=14580 rmb
That will buy a 14,000 rmb Mate4 with pocket change

In Xinjiang even every herd's daughter in Pamir plateau goes to college because of the government subsidy and scholarships, are they going back to herding their sheep after college?
They might join the 'lying flat' movement going on right now in China.

I live in China, people do jokingly say "lying flat", but you rarely see anyone really do. Actually this word fits in the west way more better than it does in China.

And I have friends who lives in China and they say the 'lying flat' movement is approaching a crisis, the same way that China is facing 600 million senior citizens. And 4-2-1. And that the three-child policy is not working. These are not 'flash-in-the-pan' issues but the results of bad leadership and bad policies. This is not like guns or crime. You cannot force people to work if they do not want to work. You cannot reverse aging. And you cannot force people to have sex. China got far worse problems than we do.

Is Germany your country? China is not the country she used to be 20 years ago, don't be confused with today's China with today's Vietnam.
I just saying a fact chinese restos are disappearing in Germany.

today's China still has over 600 million people whose monthly income is barely 1,000 yuan (USD 140) and their lives have further been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday.

Not mentioning CN worker's wage were just stamped down, making million CNese lives getting even worse and hopeless during trade war.
My former chinese class mate who also possesses an engineering degree now sells calanders imported from China.
What a waste.
Many of them dream to return to China because they think will become millionaires.

The average salary of Americans is ~3,000 USD, more than half of them goes to rent/mortgage, another half goes to hospital bills such as 1,000 USD for treating a common cold, 200$/hr of labor cost for fixing a car, etc. And you have to borrow from the bank to pay the college tuition of 30,000 USD/year at least... etc., etc.

After spending hundreds of billions dollars and suffering thousands of casualties, you lost the Afghanistan war, do you admit it?
Yeah...The US 'lost' in Afghanistan. Now we will just wait for the PLA to reform itself similar to the Taliban.
