China has been shielding top Indian fugitive -- United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) chief Paresh Barua, intelligence agencies have alerted the government. The revelation comes days before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's meeting with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao in Bali on November 18 on the sidelines of the ASEAN and East Asia summits.

Barua has been trying hard to sabotage the government's attempts to bring peace to the North East. Three days ago, Indian agencies monitoring a series of telephone conversations from across the Sino-Indian border found a perfect match on what seemed like Barua. The ULFA chief, who has been on India's most wanted list, was tracked to a hideout in a small town in China.

Barua's hideout is a two-storey house and the GPS coordinates were tracked to Riulli in the Yunnan province of China bordering Myanmar. Barua's conversations on the Indian side of the border were tracked to some cell phone numbers in Assam and even to some of his contacts in Delhi and Eastern UP.

In one of the conversations Barua is heard instructing his secretary to contact those ULFA cadres who have surrendered extorting them to take up arms again.

Sources told Headlines Today that a classified report has been prepared for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the recent intercepts which corroborate the government's worry that Beijing might be fishing in troubled waters to prick India

So what's new? China is hell bent on creating trouble in India's North East. But what's shocking is that China has always denied vehemently that they are not interfering in the internal affairs of India. Paresh Barua has an Interpol Red Corner Notice slapped against him! But China is treating him as a state guest!

I think it's high time India went in a tit-for-tat mode and payed them back on the same coin in Tibet and xinjiang. But the question is: Does our political establishment have the balls to do this?

It's just a matter of time that the old man leaves for his heavenly abode.

ULFA as an organization is dysfunctional. The minimal support that they enjoy now is slowly but surely diminishing.

So China, if you think you can heat things up, you probably are moving in the wrong direction.

.
They probably learnt this fine art of double game from one certain nation;)

.
India should Pressurize China on Diplomatic Level to take action against Barua and back the report with Proofs of his whereabouts !

Hahaha, India loves to support terrorists (LTTE) and separatists (Tibetan government in exile) against their neighbouring countries.

*If* what is said in the OP is true (no evidence has been presented to the UN or the Chinese government)... then it's about time for some payback. Though I think the Maoists might be a better option.

. . . . . .
Didnt some chinese poster say that Dalai Lama is only demanding atonomy for Tibet ? Now suddenly Lama became a seperatist ? Seriously guys, there is no limit to your double speak.

He only started saying that Tibet was a part of China in recent decades.

Back in 1959, they were trying to overthrow Chinese rule in Tibet via violent uprising. The very definition of separatism. When their violent uprising failed, they fled and were hosted by India.

. . .
This man should be called Son of a Bi**h.

Oh wait what!:woot:

Why are you using foul language ? If he declares himself Son of China then we will respect that like Dalai lama called himself Son of India.
