Don't know about Iran, but Russia has its own carriers for their domestic market.

They are not ready yet. And Sukhoi Superjet was too dependent on Western parts though some developments are being attempted. Don't know about MC-21.

I also know the Airbus 350 competitor Aircraft CR929 was going to be built jointly by the Russian Federation and China but the Russian firms claimed to have dropped out of the project.

I think the widebody version would benefit Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to replace their B777-200ERs.

Not now. They are working on it but it's on the front. I think the success of the C-919 will determine it's demand.

This jet can replace PIA's B777-200ERs.

It's too early to believe that. We need to see it's performance. It also specifically competes against the Airbus 319. Airbus 220 and B737-700 & B737-MAX7.

After it's performance, they will work on building a stretched version of this jet. Then they'll also work on their wide-bodies.

C929 Wide body jet joint venture between China and Russia started in 2017, Russia was responsible for half of the components and China the other half, it's scheduled to have test flight this year in 2023, but last year Russia withdrew form the project, now China have to finish this program all by itself

Yes that's the plane I was referring to. It could serve as a possible replacement for PIA's B777-200ERs.

Don't know about Iran, but Russia has its own carriers for their domestic market.

They also have an analog airplane of this size that they make locally.

At some point maybe C919 can also use PD-14 Russian Engine if Russians want the C919 equipped that way for their market.

Or an uprated Chinese CJ 1000A could be offered for the MC-21 Russian jet (a little heavier than the C919).

Just a possibility I guess.

BTW the PD-35 Russian Engine (and a similar Chinese parallel version) is the chosen powerplant for the larger CR-929 airplane which is a China-Russia JV. That Engine is much larger and in the 77000 lbf thrust class.
