What's new

China's birth rate falls to historic low

People need more than just water to survive.

You want to build a good house, you need good construction materials.

You want a human child's brain (and body) to develop properly, you need proper nutrients.

Let's just do one quick China vs India comparison: meat production.

RKog8ax.png

I know the figures are from 2010, but I don't have anything newer.

Both countries have over a billion people, but China produces 13 times more meat than India. Even a small country like Vietnam produces more than 50% of India's production. Very sad. Btw, this figure doesn't even include the amount of fish China is able to catch with the world's largest fleet of deep-sea fishing boats, or the aquaculture in China.

Want to know what happens when you have a billion malnourished Indians not getting enough protein in their diets? Low IQ. Stunted growth. Poor health. Unproductive population.:)

Dude, obviously India is going to have low meat production.

Most of the population is vegetarian here.

Even the non-vegetarian people in India, eat meat only occasionally, not regularly.

So the comparison doesn't mean anything.

It is like me comparing Indian dairy and Chinese dairy production.

India produces twice the milk than China. But that can't be compared, because Chinese diet has a very low dairy component.

Also, water and arable land are the primary resources. Other stuff can be managed if these two are present.

Than let's compare Vegetables, We still produce more than 4 times yours....
BTW... Most of you are vegetarian, while we are not...

And don't tell me your population are feed on milk....Lol...

c
chinaisn't also is crowded. Most of China's population lies in it's east
They have better infrastructure that's all
This is not only about crowded, you see so many of your population, both old and young, are doing such low end jobs... You can not find another country's capital on earth in such a condition...
The sad thing about india and indians is that they don't admit their problem, instead, they claim it is their strength...

Depends on the way you see

India is crossing the phase what china has 20 years ago..
People do jobs that are available to their ability
Nothing to be ashamed of...

since when birth rate is extremely low ?dont BS 垃圾玩意

A China with 1Billion chinese and 0 muslim will be A perfect state.if ugyur and hui can change their belief i have No problem against them.as to tibetan they are our brothers

i only hate muslim chinese which i never consider as chinese
They can ban them or advise them not to go to Islam if they want to grow rich for their families. (What is a religion like madness, such as medicine, silly, small white hat on the head, bowing down the whole pile like medicine, silly, zombie, sick, like a devil)
plant people.
Spend too much time on religion. not working.
A small white hat on his head, the forest that bowed down ... looked like he lost all his consciousness, was controlled by something, followed something, like a horror movie ... in short Look like a devil.
like movie script =))
if any religion is like this, I will handle it =))
-> VN & US is very angry;)) cannot do anything China;))

Of course, outside the Chinese border, you are comfortable in religion and religion =)) I do not prohibit.

beware of US & VN turning China into a religion or something similar.

p / s: China is too good, too gentle, too benevolent, in front of the lost buffalo children

Of course much more than that, air pollution is worse than China, water crisis is causing Punjab to sink, no centralized effort to even solve the problem. Environmental refugees flood the cities. This is the classic sign of serious environmental degradation. You read the article about greening in India? Those are 90% from crops, in China which green almost a few magnitudes more, it was 50% due to reforestation. We have a policy of returning low yield land bck into forest. It took us 50 years of hard work to reverse the degradation. I wish India all the best!

Are Indians vegetarians by choice or by necessity/scarcity/desperation?

It is like me comparing Indian dairy and Chinese dairy production.

Most Chinese adults are lactose intolerant. That type of food doesn't work well for Chinese, so why mass produce it?

If Indians can drink milk, you should be producing 10 times more milk than China, not just twice.

Look at China vs India egg production:

India is underperforming China in all forms of protein production. You have 1.3 billion Indians (overpopulated) and not enough protein. You don't see a problem here?

Also, water and arable land are the primary resources. Other stuff can be managed if these two are present.

And you might have less water if China continues to dam and divert the Brahmaputra River.

One of Asia's major rivers, the Brahmaputra, originates in Tibet and flows down to India before entering Bangladesh where it joins the Ganges and empties into the Bay of Bengal.

:agree:

Here's a nice little river map.

Notice how many major rivers originate at or near Tibet.
Brahmaputra River for India.
Indus River for Pakistan.
:)

Population equals to national power only if your population is highly educated. If your population is not educated, they will become a burden. The oncoming AI revolution will make most low level repetitive jobs obsolete so the level of education necessary to be a upstanding member of society will only increase. I'm afraid that the path China took to development (low skilled factory labor gain wealth) might be closed forever in the next 10 years. In response to some of comparisons made of India and China in the discussion, the main difference between China and India is now much more educated the population of China is compared to India. I work with a lot of Indians and most are smart and hardworking. However, India is failing it's kids with poor education. It is my advice to India to implement one child policy so families can save resources and better educate the kids that does get born.

So we will see more scrawny Indians in ten years time die to shortage of food
