I guess we have different definitions of robots. I'd say those are examples of industrial machinery much like a chemical reactor or a stamping machine, while I think of robots as something with joints performing more complex tasks. And those machines, if you watched the video, were all custom designed in house. They weren't bought, and thus would not be captured in the sales data.

That's a robot. It is a machine programmed to execute one or more tasks automatically. In case, you have not noticed a very good number of industrial robots that enhance automation in China are made by Foreign companies and automation of plants in China is not possible without their robots.

Foxconn doesn't build all their industrial robots - FANUC and many other robotics companies do.

Don’t you see that China still has two child policy in place . If China was actually worried about its population shrinkage , they would’ve scrapped that, and even make incentives for more children .

When our new generation will come in market, whole world's talent put to gather will not be able to match the talent of India. If we incorporate our traditional methods of Gurukul and yoga into our study, we will be able to produce many more people who will have the vision and capability to change the community, society, country and world.

Many of visionary people have started schools of their dream. It has made a great impact on society. The students produced by those schools are changing our society. We have schools beyond the imagination of many and class apart from best anywhere.

China should do one better, export its elderly. Currently they number over 100 million but are expected to be 300 million by 2050. Incentivizing older Chinese to move to ASEAN countries like Laos, into nursing homes staffed by young Laotians will be fit both groups and the Chinese government. Loas gains a entire nursing industry to support its economy (similar to Florida in the US). Older Chinese get a new environment to move around in, purpose built and cathered for them, at a lower cost then in China. The Chinese government gets an industry to incentivize good relations between its government and that of Laos. These elderly can travel back and forth over the high speed train lines and enjoy the relatively lower cost of living in south East Asia. The Chinese government could incentivize Chinese business to open up these nursing homes. If elderly people were given tax incentives, it may attract more to move to these places.

Exporting labor intensive industries to allied nations is a way to maximize the BRI/OBOR benefits for China and allied countries. Robots in China could take over the final portions of manufacturing, such as with electric automobile manufacturing. Mining and to processing in or near the country where the lithium is extracted, while the final engine/battery pack manufacture can still be done in China.

China is not the first East Asian country to have gone through this. Japan is demographically now where China will be in 2050. Studying the experience of the Japanese will give some an idea how effective the current options are. The only other option would be inviting guest workers on fixed 3-5 year contracts and extending it as needed to working in Nursing homes, possibly similar to Japan’s program. But that won’t benefit from the economies of scale.

even in Japan, the average retiree only gets between $700-900/month. Which may not be enough to Live in Japan, but could go a long way in Southeast Asia.

Pakistan's population was 33.7 million in 1951 and China's population was 550 million. Today population of Pakistan is 220 million which is 7 times higher than what it was in 1951 and China's population 1.39 billion is only 2.5 times higher than 1951. Result is Pakistan is a poor developing country and China is a developed country.
